I've lived outside the South for 12 years now, and while I agree that Mississippi and Alabama have the worst reputations on racism, don't think for a second that Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, or Louisiana are considered a different category.
The one thing I wish is that there was more exposure for the good and the progress.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if this were true. I'm from Mississippi, and I know what goes on here. I'm 29 years old, and I remember seeing Klan rallies/parades in my town. It was kind of hilarious though seeing the 6'5" African American State Troopers standing there to keep order. Those Klan members acted real timid then. Idiots.
Back to this, I wouldn't be surprised if it were true. There are plenty of people here in the State of MS who are a disgrace to civilization.

Sounds like someone thinks this kid stole something and is too much of a pussy to confront him about it. There is more to this than just a random group of racists randomly deciding to single out one black kid for no reason at all.
