Heck yeah. Almost had a 3-4 month job in New Zealand this past fall but just couldn't swing it. Regret the hell out of it though.
That sucks you weren't able to pull it off. That is the place I really want to visit the most. I'd be jealous if you were able to pull it off.

Afraid of them looking around the states for a guy named OMRandshark?
I'm just concerned I'll run into around Beijing and play dumb on who I am.

Hope you make it back to the states soon and we can actually win some games on the field.

Baseball season is truly special and is tons of fun. My most fun weekends are mostly attributed to this time of year. USM lacks this entirely really.
Except for the fact that USM has actually made it to Omaha.
Ba-BOOM!!!
could NOT pass that up.

Why not kinesiology?

Most major in Biology. My wife did before she went to PT school.
I knew a guy at State that was majoring in Biological Engineering with a biomedical emphasis that was wanting to get into PT school. I think that route was an excellent choice as a fall back plan.
BTW, are PT schools as selective as they use to be? I know 15 years ago they were tough to get in. Also, I think you get a doctorate in PT schools now when it use to be a masters.

I have heard (I am tangential to the PT school here so not an expert) that if you go to State and tell them you want to go to PT school, they try to throw you in the kinese program. It just doesn't help. I would think Biological Engineering would be a great route. The program here is a doctorate and it is extremely competitive to get into. They weigh very heavy the GPA in the core sciences but there are other factors.
I am way past needing to know what college to go to but if I was the OP, I would call the school (UMMC PT school) and talk to one of the faculty and rely on their recommendations more than a counselor at the undergrad school I wanted to go to.

I can safely assume this is the only one in MS?
But you're spot on. I'd be calling them asking questions and which college programs get me a better chance at being selected.

Hattiesburg, Mississippi
Smokin marijuana like a Woodstock hippie
-or-
So absurd,
Up in Oxford,
Vision's all blurred and my speech's all slurred.
(and then there's:
The party's finna start for real,
When I hit Starkville,
So here's the deal,
Hit up the Dark Horse and I move to Rick's,
Postin' up on the wall takin' flicks with chicks.)

The thing is they don't really give a frick. I think most State fans care more that USM made it there than USM fans do.

If you want to go to PT school you need to major in biology. Not exercise science and not kinesiology. BIOLOGY. PT school is extremely difficult to get into. The only way to be remotely competitive is to have a biology degree. With that said biology is NOT easy. You're thinking, "hey it's ole miss can't be that hard" well it Is and the first two freshman biologys are very tough as a freshman.

Is this guy seriously having a hard time deciding between Southern Miss or an SEC campus with hot chicks?
Posted on 12/30/11 at 10:23 am to Will20
ole miss has a prettier campus (i am an ole miss grad) & is affiliated w/ university med school in jackson which is where you would end up for a couple of years anyway doing your clinicals. hattiesburg, as a town, has more to offer being closer to nola & the coast as well. oxford closer to memphis if you want action. if you are poor, choose oxford - alot less entertainment to spend money on & quieter. also, as mentioned above - ole miss is SEC
