It really must kill y’all to see a State alum, one y’all could and should’ve hired multiple times, overachieve at Ole Miss in Year 1, using a roster devoid of a bench or big

Should’ve hired is a stretch. He was in the middle of NCAA stuff when we hired Ray, and Howland has 10 times his resume.

they would have potential if there were a sport that involved KNEELING.....the whole nation hates them, maybe the whole world except IRAN....THEY kneel in IRAN,TOO

In no way shape or form should State have hired Ray over Davis, whose NCAA stuff expired in the 90s......

You’re aware we were trying to dodge NCAA stuff by firing Stans, we weren’t hiring someone with any NCAA issues at all.
Ray was hired not to win games but clean out the program for the next coach.

Whatever y’all need to tell yourselves. If he were never actually considered to be hired, it’s really curious as to why he was literally on his way to Starkville with his family in tow when he got the call that Ray had been hired.
Davis’ show cause happened when he was the youngest coach in DI, and expired twenty full years before y’all hired Ray. If that’s the excuse, it’s pretty sad

Davis was count hair away from being fired at MT when State hire Ray. Davis was mediocre at best his first 9 season at MT. His first really good season was in his 11th year 2013.

Kermit Davis has been his conference COTY eight freaking times and is the winningest coach in Sun Belt history. The Sun Belt sucked/still sucks, and MTSU moved to ConfUSA under his tenure, but it was clear he could coach even before the *2011-12 season, when he won 27 games

I appreciate what you’re tryin to do. But I think they make the tourney. And also, they were hot and we were cold to start last baseball season, and we know how that turned out. Who knows what that roulette wheel produces.

Just gives us more time to get right for the Dance tbh. Our seeding likely wasn’t going to be affected by a win or loss today, and neither us nor Bama were likely beating Kentucky in Game 2. We blew a meaningless game after a season of overachieving. I’ll take the reigning conference coach of the year regardless of what his SECT record is after Year 1
