One day, people on here will understand that a coaches past record with a team doesn't have any effect on the current squad. Their record the last two years is completely irrelevant to how good the team is this year
Hate to hear that, 'cause I always enjoy Bama and LSU fans telling us how we stand no chance, based on our head-to-head records over the past 40 years.
ETA: But seriously, how good a team was last year can, in fact, give an indication of how good they are this year, depending on the improvements and/or declines occurring during the offseason.

LSU would have had 400+ yards rushing if all those runs don't get called back.
If I had a 14" cock I'd be a porn star.....see how that works?

Last year LSU beat down SM Houston and New Mexico State just as bad as Ole Miss beat UTM and FS. We all know how that offense turned out...
No actually LSU did not. no team in the SEC has ever beat 2 teams in 2 weeks the way we have.
That what has me excited. Yes they were easy wins. But you just don't beat teams by 70. And against each it could have been 100. And people bashing Fresno. They will compete for their conference and go to a bowl game. Hell they prolly would have beat UTM 70-10.
What has OM fans more excited than just the scores is how we have looked more importantly how Kelly has looked. He hasn't missed an open pass. Every ball is right on the money. With a quick release and a nice tight spiral. If LSU has a QB with half the skill/talent that Kelly has they would be a great team. But with the lack of a QB they will struggle against teams that can score points.

Saban has 3 losses in the last 7 years
So it is ok to bring up their past records but we need to dismiss Fresno States past records because this is a new year?

What a fricking idiot.
Mistakes on LSU's part is why they didn't win bigger.
See I can do it to.

erum...uhh...Rebs average over 8 yds per carry running the ball. wtf are you goin on about?
Okay if you are seriously this stupid I will explain it to you. Your top back in two games has 103 yards on 9 rush attempts, 9. Of those 103 yards he has a 60 yard run. Your second back has 102 yards on 10 rush attempts and he has a 70 yard run.
So yeah maybe y'all are averaging 8 yards per carry in 2 games and I might add against two turrible football teams. The 8 yard per carry is very misleading due to the majority of the yardage coming on long runs.
We shall see if that mighty 8 yards per carry will hold up this coming weekend

Kelly has looked unbelievably good.
He gets all the OM playmakers involved in the offense and his deep ball is on the money.
What we don't know yet is can he take a hit and can he handle adversity? We'll know soon enough.

Les could have kept scoring in the 4th if he chose to in those two games last year. Freeze having no class doesn't make the blowouts any more impressive or convincing than LSU's two against cupcakes last year or any number or other SEC teams over the years for that matter.

I hate to say but Ole Miss looks pretty good and a good portion of their team is from Louisiana. Players mad they couldn't play at LSU so, that game is definitely circled.
Exact same as last year.......difference is they had Broseph who had LSU's number and was experienced.

You have two homework assignments:
1) Look up the meaning of the word "average," and
2) Compile a list of the sites that compile statistics for average yards per carry after excluding any outliers.

THAT is exactly what my thread was trying to pose before it derailed into LSU/MSU....

Shows me you didn't watch our game Sat......when Harris was allowed to do so, he looked VERY good.

He looked good, but your wr's looked great... They went and got balls. I think lsu will be 7-0 going into Tuscaloosa. Miles has to start trusting Harris more though bc Harris will have to make more throws to beat bama.

The game was close because Les Miles doesn't know what he has on offense and is coaching full of fear on the one hand, and stubbornness on the other. Hopefully, he gets it figured out before we get to the meat of our schedule.
he hasn't figured it out in 10 years, what makes you think it will happen by saturday? Miles' offensive philosophy is a joke.
