2% interest rates and lack of inventory during COVID is why home values increased. They’ve been stagnant since rates normalized.
I’ll bet fifa wishes America could host every World Cup. We have the infrastructure for them to expand to as many teams as they’d like.

So when does he serve the suspension? Does he ever miss a game?
Also, what if he gets a yellow against Belgium?

Ok, maybe I'm remembering wrong, or maybe it just depended on the stadium...but Houston and Dallas didn't have anything less than $175 ish. I'm still sour about not getting any tickets after entering every lottery.
Also, given how absolutely awesome this WC has been, even $250 is a steal and totally within the realm of affordability for a serious fan.
It’s the $2k per seat resale that’s insane.

Yes it is bad. Nose bleed seat face value was at best $250.
This is not true. I registered for tix in the $175 category in Los Angeles and I believe there was an even cheaper tier available.

wtf are you talking about. How else are they getting tickets?
Some of the tickets are bought by actual supporters at face value (likely the people OP is referring to) and some are bought by bots/scalpers for insane resale.
The face value on the tix isn’t bad, but it is hard to imagine working class South Americans being able to afford tix at the resale prices.
What fifa has allowed with the resale situation is shameful

2nd behind the Argentina v France and only because that was a Final in my opinion.
Agree, 2022 WC final was best I’ve ever seen.
Big bet on Morocco ml for me. I think they’re elite.
90s were just as good as the 80s. Early internet and aol was frickin awesome for a horny teenager (or so I’ve heard)

I understand they can track an official watch party, but how can they tell who’s throwing a house party or not?

Which means there were minimal watch parties for that game whereas the soccer game’s actual “eyeballs” is likely well undercounted due to the amount group viewings

Beat Belgium and compete with (ie. don’t get embarrassed by) Spain/portugal

That same technology is still required to correctly apply the Wenger rule and it's the same exact line that's getting measured 1 inch rulings don’t go away at all. You're just switching measuring whether the attacker was a toe offside to whether the defender's toe kept the attacker onside
This is true, but seeing so many goals disallowed because an inch of someone’s kneecap was offside seems to go against the spirit of the rule.
If they relax the offside rule and a goal gets disallowed by var, I wouldn’t mind as much.

He was onside with the ball was kicked in but offside at the time of the header (which was off port not croa). Is the rule from when the ball is kicked?
The header “resets” the line as it becomes the pass.
If the guys head didn’t touch the ball, it’s not offsides

Geez man, I’m a soccer purist but this is starting to get frustrating
3 goals disallowed by a combined 5 inches of body parts is kinda ridiculous

Is it typical that the European-bloc teams tend to be defense first?
Think that’s bad, try watching a conmebol matchup not involving Brazil or Argentina. It’s almost a completely different game compared to the free flowing European style

Was suprised how passive Bosnia seemed after the red. They were content to ole’ it around in their half for way to long
Saw Bosnia play in person in group stage, probably the most boring team in the tournament.
