1987 game in Baton Rouge. It’s on YouTube.

86 was a defensive battle. Bobby Humphrey fumbled on the goal line late in the game sealing the LSU win. I believed the final was 14-7 so it would have just tied the game.
88 Phillip Doyle missed a FG late in the game that would have won it for Bama.
I think was 95 where Bama won 10-0. We scored a late TD to put it away.
96 is my favorite. Was there in person to witness that one.

The 1979 games beats 2011 for a defensive struggle. Alabama beat Chollie Mac’s LSU 3-0 on a 3rd quarter FG in a cold monsoon. Rained the whole game.

I member one where Corey Webster had to fight off Bama WR to intercept ball in the end zone

1998. LSU had Alabama on the ropes, up 16-7 with under 5 minutes left and on the goal line about to put it away. Then Herb Tyler threw an interception. Alabama scored a touchdown, recovered the onside kick and scored again in the last minute. Alabama won 22-16. LSU kicked Alabama's arse the whole game, and somehow managed to lose.
I'm pretty sure our kicker hit the upright and the crossbar on 2 different field goal attempts. And then the end of the game made me want to throwup. That game was a microcosm of all the bad luck LSU had with Alabama at home for nearly 30 years. And hell, the 2000 game almost turned out the same way when an Alabama gunner ran into Domanick Davis fielding a punt, LSU recovered, and the officials forgot who recovered the damn ball while they were discussing whether a halo violation had occurred. There was a funny picture of all the LSU players pointing to the video board (before instant replay review was a thing). Both offenses and defenses were on the field. Total shitshow. Thankfully for us, they figured it out and the streak finally ended

This is a good, subtle troll.

What year was it that Alabama had like three starters on the DL that got hurt on one play at the goal line? I was in high school, so it had to be around 02 or something.

The 1998 ending is still pretty unbelievable. LSU lost seven games that year after starting 3-0 and being ranked like #6 and five of them came in the most heartbreaking fashion possible. Scarred my childhood. 1999 was bad too but we were playing with house money and Bama was in the SEC hunt.. in hindsight winning it might have saved DiNardo's arse too :/

We were up 16-7 going into the fourth quarter, then gave up 15 unanswered.
You were up 16-7 with two minutes to go in the game. The events that transpired in those final minutes almost defy logic and belief. LSU dominated all night long, Kevin Faulk was unstoppable, but an interception at the goal line and a missed field goal kept Alabama in the game.

1999. Ended Marvin Constants career. I think it was him, Kenny King and maybe Kindal Moorehead?

I was in the north end zone, so we saw Booty go Airborne and was like oh shite!

1982 and 1986 have been mentioned.1988 was pretty wild.Alabama got up 15-0 before LSU knew what hit them.LSU scored before halftime to make it 15-7. Back and forth and LSU went up 19-18 with :25 left. Phillip Doyle then missed a 59 yd fg 6 feet wide at the horn. Where we were sitting it looked wide and short from the start. Saw the highlights at a restaurant with a camera angle from the endzone. He barely missed it. I about died.

The 1985 game that ended in a tie was pretty damn amazing to watch. Thought we lost that game a dozen different times, but they found a way to not lose it and not win it either!
