Did you know OU is 14-7-2 against "da SEC" all time?
We're also 3-1-1 against the Tide.
Don't poke the bear, ese.
Congrats.... it still does not make up for your piss poor program that is propped up by a weak conference.... your conference has won 2 national title in football in the last 25+ years......
Perhaps winning 2 National titles in the last 40+ years is the OU standard..... but we do better in the SEC against better competition...or does winning 7 NC in a row recently not ring a bell

Also known as the "Chicken shite" rule... or we are scared to put our best teams against other conferences best teams for fear of losing....... and it turns out they were right about that.......

Were the national titles we've won against weak competition too?
Actually yes. Especially the ones in the 50s when Nebraska was down. The 1956 team only beat one ranked team. You guys didn't lose a conference game for 14 years primarily because that conference sucked.

Congrats, you know you play in a weak conference...
and one that very rarely wins any National Titles.....
So lets see here, Alabama has a better record, more top wins, more national titles, more national title games appearances, etc...
The only thing Oklahoma has over Alabama is a 3-1-1 record.......
and you are still flailing.....

I hope you beat Clemson. After we slap Georgia's arse around for 4 quarters and then style on Bama on national television again I will be unbearable on here.

Fight your own battles. frick the SEC.

So you are saying that the Big 7/8 conference that Oklahoma played in during the 1950's was a strong conference? And that Oklahoma played a strong SOS during that time?
Go do your research.......
By the way, during that same time, 3 SEC schools won national titles
edit to add- the SEC averages 3 National titles per decade, and Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Florida and Georgia have all won multiple titles..... what are those Big 7/8/12 teams that have won multiple titles again?

I don't give a shite about your "da SEC" conference or what your schools have done. I only care about slapping you all around on national television for everybody to see and that's what is about to happen (again).

well, if Oklahoma does win, it will be the first time they have beaten an SEC team for the national title....
But I would not bet on that happening......
IF Oklahoma makes it to the NC game and they lose as usual, I doubt we will see you here for months.....

Why would I hide if we lost a national championship game? And from who? A bunch of fanbases of teams that didn't make it to the national title game?

You first must beat UGA before you can even think about playing for the NC......
My guess is OU will tank, as usual, in their first game....no sense in being embarrassed again in the National title game.......
It must really suck to be an Oklahoma fan.... If Alabama had won only 2 National titles since 1980 (almost 40 years).... well, I do not know what I would do, since that has never happened to Alabama.....

The thing that I don't get is how mediocre SEC teams are OK with seeing their team settle for less.
You're totally OK with Alabama crushing you to smithereens, and you'll even root for them to rack up more championships, just so you can claim how dominant your conference is, even though your team is mediocre at best.
And that's how OU is different. They don't cling to their conference because of mediocrity and inferiority. They own the conference, and they've been whooping arse since the 1940s.
How many SEC schools have produced 6 Heisman trophy winners? Has anyone topped that 47 game winning streak? Which schools have more than 7 national titles? Didn't mighty talented LSU lose to Troy freaking State in their own house? When is the last time Aggie has won a national championship, the 1930s?
OU, Ohio State, Alabama, Notre Dame, and USC are the blue bloods of college football. Until your team reaches that status, your arguments are weak.

Calm down young Sooner lad. No one is clinging to their mediocrity here like you are clinging to your dominance in the 60’s. What you really need to admit is that it hurts to admit that you are responsible for 2 SEC team’s national championships that you loathe so much. The SEC is in your head so badly and it’s incredible. I don’t see any other high profile teams’ fans on this board as much as I see Sooners. Run along and dominate the Big 12

I have no beef with Bama, but the last time a Sooner squad faced the mighty tide, your boy AJ was getting smacked around by a mediocre Big 12 defense and Eric Striker, something like 7 sacks.
Until they meet again I guess.

Last time Texas A&M faced the mighty Sooners we whipped that arse.

Remind me again who started this thread?
Georgia all of the sudden is in a big game for once, and apparently Sooners are supposed to fear their mighty defense and unstoppable running game. We'll see.
