quote:

OU doesn’t have a deficit in softball.. we sale out every game we actually make money unlike your shitty schools.

According to collegefactual:

"There are no credible reports of the program breaking even or profiting."

Also:

"Like nearly all college softball programs (and most non-football/men’s basketball sports), OU softball is not a self-sustaining “revenue sport.” It generates significant ticket sales and interest—especially during its dynasty years with multiple national championships—but expenses (scholarships, coaching salaries, facilities, travel, etc.) consistently exceed direct revenues. The athletics department as a whole has historically run surpluses thanks to football, but individual sports like softball do not."

Last year was the first year of ticket sales from new stadium … as of now 2026 is projected to gain profit . 2025 didn’t have full year of sales actually less than previous year . 2026 will have a full year of ticket sales with new stadium .

The numbers you’re quoting are from 2024 ….
