I wasn't a raging douchebag. I was pointing out that we have a retard wing of our fan base. Just like every other program in the SEC. You took swift and immediate exception to the comment, so....

They abandoned the run early in that game because they fell behind early, which is why you're talking about average yards per rush and not total rushing yards.

So what you are admitting is that ULL was able to do this last year against the #1 defense in the nation who also was ranked #2 in rush defense.

How do you justify that with the fact that the defense had 5 turn overs and allowed the same in rushing yards per carry?

2+2= what?

Actually, upon further review, here are the actual stats:

2018: rushing attempts 26
total yards 65
avg. 2.5

No sir. I can't allow you to do that. We are talking their Running backs. Their main guys.

Don't make me post it. You know better.

They rushed it 14 times. They meaning their 3 backs that rushed for 3000 yards last year. They, meaning the 3 backs that rushed for 3000 yards last year rushed it 32 times and they averaged about the same.

Calais..9 per carry
Ragas 7 per carry.
Mitchel averaged 2.2 per carry.

So, you're wrong, anyway.

Bless your heart.... no I'm not. But it's your team... you run with that brother!

Wow. I usually like your posts because you're complimentary of my Bulldogs. But is the single dumbest post I have ever seen on SEC Rant, and that is quite the accomplishment.

You are cherry picking and stratifying numbers to try to support an argument that I'm not even understanding your reasoning for making. Comparing average yards per rush for players who had significantly fewer rushes last year cumulatively than this year, in a feeble attempt to somehow suggest that State's defense was as good against them this year as last year? Would you suggest that Nick Gibson was the best player on the field, since he had the most yards per carry than anyone yesterday?

Nobody with a brain larger than a pea and a shred of intelligence would objectively agree with you.

You're much, much better than this. It's profoundly disappointing, honestly.

Your 'facts' are bullshite, which I have demonstrated.

I'm a fan who's not happy that my team's defense looked like shite against a Sun Belt team, and I'm not interested in the sunshine brigade's excuses. Oh, the horror.

Stick to something you know about.

No I'm not. I'm telling you that they have 3 RBs that they use. They did it last year and this year. The EXACT same 3.

Ragas
Calais
Mitchell

Those 3 ran it it 14 times last year against the #2 rush defense in the nation and averaged the exact same against the defense this year running it 32 times.

That's not hard to follow. That's not cherry picking. That's fact. Ragas in both years averaged 7 yards per carry. Calais, 9 ypc last year and 8.8 this year. Mitchell last year 0.0 and this year 2.2.

The only reason they did not rush on you last year (like UK!!!!!!!!!) was because you got way ahead early forcing them to move to a pass attack. Had this been game 3 this year it would have been the same story.

That isn't even apples to apples here. Has zero to do with production. You are trying to compare 14 rushing attempts to 2.

Second, you are trying to compare a vanilla defense to a 3rd game of the year defense...

Are you seriously suggesting that a team that was # 2 in rush defense and had 3 NFL 1st round draft picks off of the DEFENSE sucked? That is what you are saying in a round about way. We are not talking 2 attempts... we are talking 14. With the same average!

Come on.

Then explain your defense last year against these 3 same EXACT Rbs. Don't bring in other CRAP.. deal with these RBs. The 3.

I don't think you can. I seriously think you need it to be your way that the MS ST defense is so bad that you can't see it.

EDIT here.. because I do agree. You should NOT be happy. 2 times the defense laid down because they thought it was over. Midway in the 2nd quarter (had only given up 68 yards) where they allowed a 69 yards march. Then in the 4th quarter when it was 35-14 and they allowed a 69 march again, a 99, and a 32. THAT is what you should be upset with

He's a real son of bitch,

and I like him!

And Drebin, brah, take your neverending negativity back to Elite Dawgs and then come back. Smile, okay? OKAY? For God's sake have SOME positivity. You remind me of a large majority of my family- most of which are State alumni with several old time alumni: The glass is ALWAYS half empty in regard to State football. ALWAYS.

Dude we honestly might lose to Kentucky or Arkansas or something and win against an Auburn or LSU. That's how college football works, it's unpredictable and changes week to week.

I think we can beat both auburn and A&M. If we can steal one from auburn we should beat UT and go into a showdown against LSU at night in Davis wade which would be an epic atmosphere win or lose.

Really want this to happen

How was ULL in the game? I didn't watch it but obviously the score was closer then I'd assume you guys liked.

We were up 21 in the 4th and took our foot off of the accelerator and let them score a couple late TDs.

I think UL LAffy could contend in the Sun Belt and possibly win 8-9 games.
