They need to separate from the schools its obvious. If the schools want to keep making money then let them roll it over into some kind of league but the student athelete thing is dead.

And then after a few adjustment years all the money needs to be separate too. Schools can live without football. Most of the schools with the biggest endowments don't even have division 1 sports. the ones that do, their football teams aren't bankrolling the whole thing or even close.

The moeny from the athletic departments is a drop in the bucket compared to the research grants, endowments, etc. that B1G universities have.

College football players played the game during the deadliest pandemic in recorded history back in 1918 - during the deadliest wave of the virus to boot. People were in the stands, wearing masks, and clearly enjoying themselves. All the while nearly 700,000 Americans perished that fall. Life went on.

Losing those teams would kill the Big 10.

I wouldn't discount that report completely. 6 Big-10 schools have halted practice. And the new conference commish is pushing hard for a Spring season.

Can you explain why Americans were disciplined enough to wear Masks 102 years ago, but with the Orange Turd in the WH , they resist cause it's all about, "muh Freedoms"?
