In his press conference Stein said he had already hired coordinators, but he would be the lead play caller. I think it's this.

Cool. Sloan will make a good OC secretary and barista for the grown-ups.

Same thought we had when Lane “hired away” CWJ from USF after he had offenses ranked in the triple digits his two years there

Tbf if there is a shred of offense it can't be worse than this past year.

Just imagine if that Ole Miss or Texas game we actually had a normal competent game plan on offense. We might be talking about what a miracle worker Stoops is

Instead we got Bush WR Sweep Hadman

For the record, Kentucky finished ahead of us in total offense this season and scoring offense this season, never say never

Sloan is probably good at most of what he does, but as OC/ calling plays, not so much.

Kiffin might not be at lsu and texas wouldn't think they should be in the playoff

What a timeline that'd be

Is this worse than the fact they may be 7-6 in hoops when they start SEC play?

Make Stoops the basketball coach. Won't score points but the other team will live in fear of the Youngstown mafia

Well if you remove our game against southeastern Louisiana, what we did was average like 18pts a game

We did get Burke, no? WTF is this?

I mean, I get that Stein should call the plays, but...

We def won't judge if that's true. OTOH, Boley wasn't anything more than average.

I'd probably be more stressed about it if our HC was a defensive guy. I'm curious to see how much of Sloan was Sloan or coaching under Kelly (lord knows we had our fair share of OC's that did much better not under Stoops' yoke)

ETA: I do know Sloan also recruited Boley.

Sounds like Sloan will be an OC in name but not necessarily fully in practice.
