If you win out, you have every right to think you're better than Auburn, because you will then have played a harder stretch of games than Auburn.

Until and unless you do, there's not much for us to be ashamed about.

Thanks man. It is easier when it’s actually true. Really.

Did they? Really? My memory is kinda hazy. If they did, I can’t recall.

Almost all the aubies I’ve come into contact with are taking a pragmatic approach. LSU fans, however, are melting and whining.

Yes, I was wrong when I expected consistency and honesty from the committee.

I'm OK with that.

Look, I have no dog in this fight, as I think Clemson is more likely to come out of that side victorious regardless of Bama or OSU getting in... but to claim that OSU making it in would have been a measure of consistency is ridiculous.

What they *say* is that strength of schedule matters... what they *mean* is that strength of schedule matters when comparing equivalent win/loss records more or less... The reality is that OSU makes it in this year in all likelihood had they not lost to Oklahoma, and instead played some Ohio directional school due to the perceived strength of the B1G as a conference... the rub there is that they likely don't make it into the playoffs last year without the win over Oklahoma... as it would have taken clear and convincing information to show that Ohio State was better than the conference champion who beat them head to head... that win was your trump card.

Don't lose by 31 to an unranked opponent and it's all a moot point.

Good thing for Saban that 9 win seasons for the barn don't come that often.

Are you still better than UGA? Football can't afford to play a series to best determine who is legitimately "better" than another when so many variables affect single performances.

But, Auburn was unequivocally better than UA at JHS during the 2017 IB. You will always have that.

Albeit, that may be as satisfying as a New Year's Six Peach Bowl against a mid-major after winning the the toughest division in CFB and beating two #1 teams in Nov.

Hocutt and Saban disagreed...until they didn't.

No...when comparing comparable teams. Obviously, they were comparing comparable teams...

Were they honest when they let y'all in last year? Seems pretty consistent to me.

I call my register "office" too. Of course I call the entire building, warehouse, and all 3 extra lots "office" since I own it all but that probably doesn't fit as well into your narrative.

Keep that Atlanta locker room warm for us, won't ya? I'll be too busy jockeying this register. ;)

Has been for me. Already had 3 auburn fan customers this morning shake their heads and tell me all 3 something different, but they all equaled up to: "It must be nice to own college football." I replied exactly the same all 3 times.

"It sure as shite is." ;)

Very astute observation, but you're still not getting the the playoff.

"Even if you win the playoffs and bring home the National Championship , you'll always know we're better and beat you on the field. No matter what happens, you're not the best team in the country. Good luck."

Perhaps you guys can call Ole Miss and see where they got their banner made, so you can hang one up in the stadium.....You guys are pathetic, but it is understandable how you did beat your two noted rivals AT HOME, then couldn't pull it out when on the road. Perhaps we can chalk it up to performance anxiety....
