I can't tell you the overwhelming joy I felt when we handed their arse to them in 2007. Also, I was there in 2008 when we took over Neyland. People who I had never met before in my life were high fiving and hugging me left and right. Everyone was yelling "roll tide". It was incredible.

I don't think many LSU fans truly appreciate just how much animosity exists between Tennessee and Alabama.
Bama-LSU is a competitive rivalry. If either team wants to make it to Atlanta, they need to go through the other.
Bama-UTk is on a personal level. The kind of rivalry where even if you have a shitty season, winning that one game can take a lot of the sting out of it.

No, that was bad, and that sparked a lot of hate from Bama fans...
but the WORST part of that is we wanted revenge for the Peyton band moment, but we didn't get a win for like the next 7 years. Each loss was more excruciating than the last. Peyton sparked the peak hate period... but that moment was only the beginning. I'd say the maximum probably came about 5 years later when we still hadn't beaten the Vols
But I was at Legion Field and I saw him lead the band, and I have hated the guy ever since. Never once pulled for the Colts b/c of that fricker
