Because there is no way he could have possibly had them sold before the season started and listed them as "friend" or "cousin". I doubt seriously they require a validated family tree for proof of relationship on these types of things.

The problem with his story about selling tickets is that player do not get the actual tickets. Instead they must put the individuals name and relationship on a list. That person then must show ID to pick them up and ensure they attended the game. So if he sold his tickets for thousands, especially to a booster, Auburn would have know to whom he sold them to..
Yeah.. there's no way around this. Not like a friend couldn't have been a middle man. That's an impossibility.

Then it's not on BAMA if they had a good system in place for textbooks but a few players found a way around it?

I agree with you that Ramsey may have lied to Auburn about the tickets. My point was that Auburn has a process to minimize this and there would be documentation.. In fact if you took the time to read it, I said this could cause Auburn problems because there is documentation (i.e. EVIDENCE)... This was the part of the show that caused me the MOST concern because if the Auburn process is broken (think textgate), then this can be tracked and proven. The rest is he said, he said. However, if it is shown that the tickets were NOT sold, then that shows that Ramsey may have been lying about EVERYTHING... This can be reviewed and should be...

FTR- I don't blame Bama or the Athletes for the textbook scandal. It seems a little silly.

The problem with you logic is that the NCAA said Alabama had a TERRIBLE system in place, there were limited (no) controls in place... That is why Alabama got in trouble...

Maybe Ziemba is lying or is wrong, but it is silly to blindly accept Ramsey's story as true while ignoring what Ziemba says and vis a versa.
Not saying Ziemba is lying by any means. All I'm saying, is those closest to the situation are usually the last to know in many instances.
Anyone who went to college and had a roommate knew exactly the financial situation the roomie was in. There is no hiding cash from an $18 year old.
Two ppl went before microphones, for free, and said the exact opposite thing. One is lying and one is not. Ppl just have to decide who they believe, why, and who they feel is more credible.

Link?
And the point is, if the players gamed the Auburn system for tickets, then obviously there would be comparable issues to Bama's players gaming the system for textbooks. At least to anyone not blindly defending Auburn...

Unless the school knows they are doing it and just blindly put down any names and descriptions on the list the player tells them.

Old habits die hard. 18 year old.. no cash needed.
And folks who share locker rooms know if someone is taking PED's, yet you hear denials when accusations are made all the time. Some of the same people bashing him are saying they were crap players in school too, after they were All SEC players. I think the believability breakdown will be.
Nation - believes
Auburn - doesn't believe

I see what you are saying here. Yeah, that is a problem. If they dig into that and what Ramsey said is true..... ouch.

Auburn - doesn't believe
Rest of SEC- believes
Rest of the nation - does not really care much and the HBO numbers will show this.
