What a stupid fricking thread.
McElwain is the best OC Bama has ever had. I can't stand little bitches who want someone fired because they're such a pussy they can't handle a close loss to a fantastic team.

So you guys are telling me that LSU messed up more than Bama? I'm talking about self-inflicted wounds folks not forced stops and take-aways. Example: block in the back on the interception which prevented a TD and win, illegal substitution in OT which screwed us even more, and the "interception" on the 1 yard line. Bama was clearly the better team on Saturday... however, LSU got the job done because they did not screw themselves.

Sounds like Bama should have played with a little more discipline.
Isn't that one of Saban's calling cards?

And for all of the McElwain apologists in this thread can you honestly tell me when our RedZone offense has been anything but abysmal since his arrival. Spare me the PPG and Yardage crap too... any idiot could put up numbers with the talent we've had over the last 4 years.

LSU just has better coaches?
If Saban would recruit a couple kickers instead of 15 Jack LBs, Bama woulda prolly won. But alas, Saban aint Miles, is he?

I'm telling you, our offense has improved every year and has had it's best offensive run in history under McElwain.
I'm saying in Bama's last 25 home games:
Total Offense: 10,815/416.0 ypg/96 TD
I'm saying so far this year:
The Crimson Tide has beaten its eight opponents this season by an average of 32.5 points per game. It is the largest margin of victory in the
Nick Saban era at Alabama and the third-largest margin in college football this season.
I'm saying:
Consecutive Victories by 16+ points
9 games - 2010-11
8 games – 1977-78
7 games – 1961; 1975
I'm saying, you're having a knee jerk reaction. And having an A.D.D. moment. Bama has always had great defenses, but never great offenses. Bama is fortunate to have McElwain. He's done a great job and is part of the reason for Bama's success since 2008 when he took over.

And yet you still claim

Sounds like LSU has better coaching. If Bama is clearly the better team, yet LSU made fewer mistakes. Sounds to me you are saying Saban got outcoached by Miles.

Record books say otherwise......and even if the score would have been reversed Bama is still not "clearly" the better team

I agree. One loss and retards come out full force.

What part of better teams don't screw themselves don't you get? LSU has a better team as a total team than Bama. It showed in the game. LSU has more ways to win.

Hoyt is either:
1. A teenager with little memory of the Stallings through Shula eras
2. Still drunk
3. Suffering from a terrible case of memory loss of the last 30 years of Alabama offensive production
4. Mentally retarded.

I think it is pretty obvious that Bama is the best team in the country
Not really. The best teams don't have horrendous special teams and poor play-calling.
Just sayin'

Nothing. That refers to the self-inflicted wounds.
McElwain is responsible for the asinine play-calling in the redzone. HOW ABOUT GIVING THE BALL TO TRENT IN THE WILDCAT AND LETTING HIM POUND THE DEFENSE FOR 3,3,4,4,5,4,6,3,5,2,AND FINALLY 20 YARDS FOR THE SCORE!

He's also responsible for Bama's best offensive output in history. Get a grip.

A lot of people, mostly LSU fans, bitched and made fun of Miles for recruiting so many kickers.

Bama was better than LSU in two out of three phases of the game.
LSU clearly had better special teams, and Les Miles outcoached Nick Saban. PERIOD.
