Peyton Manning was much better than Smith and his not winning the Heisman was a complete joke.

The ironic thing is that the player who beat him out for the Heisman (Charles Woodson) will likely be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame the same day Manning is.

This identifies with so many on this board , but none more than Warrior Poet, texag7, cajunbama, and BoreEd. This is like the dipshit Hall of Fame on this site.

I don't know that that's ironic. But I get your point.

Now that's just a dumb question. Go get a haircut from "The Barber" and you'll see why.

Peyton Manning is the only argument but he didn't win the Heisman.

Devin White deserves some discussion too IMO

That’s a stretch. Louisiana is jammed packed with players like D. Smith. Unfortunately, you don’t see the phenomenons that can’t cut it in the classroom.

Jets has the WR NFL Rookie record for yards in a season. We'll see if Smith is up to the task next year or not.

TBH though, if the Bengals draft Chase and pickup some good oline free agents, he might be the one to break Jets' record.

Hard to blame any talented player for wanting to get out of Louisiana and seek greener pastures. Congratulations to the best player in Louisiana winning the Heisman.

Well, if Smith makes the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he could be mentioned with the likes of Terry Bradshaw, Kevin Mawae, Mel Blount, Willie Brown, Buck Buchanan, Willie Davis, Fred Dean, Marshall Faulk, Charlie Joiner, Jackie Smith, Jim Taylor, Y.A. Tittle, Steve Van Buren, and Aeneas Williams.

Congratulations young man.
Only time will tell if his talents are on the same level with many Louisiana Legends.
