Could be hitting 100 but now we're going full retard. Awfully small complaint though.

What a shite year for the barners

no of course not. but I do think anyone that thinks there isn't serious cause for concern at this point is kidding themselves. 11-20 in year 2 is a lot worse than, "oh well we had some injuries." that's as bad as it gets for a power 5 school. and you guys get on Barbee for running players off and never being able to turn it around, etc. Pearl ran his best player off this year and hasn't turned it around. anyone who thinks it's unfair to question the way he's performed so far is without a doubt an auburn fan. take off the tinted shades and there are countless reasons to be concerned. it's A LONG way to being respectable from losing 20 games a year, as auburn fans well know.
it's not like I'm in here making predictions. I'm just posting his record, which objectively has been terrible so far.

Johnson is a new coach, with a new staff, with players he's never coached before - and had to put together a ragtag team of misfits after several transfers and a key injury or two early in the year. Not only has he out performed expectations, he had us in Tournament talks as late as a week ago. Nobody with a functioning brain predicted that.
Bruce Pearl is in year two of building his program, and he's about to finish with a worse record in year two than he did in year one. His best player basically quit in the middle of the year.
The perception around Bama basketball is "Wow, that's impressive."
The perception around Auburn basketball is "Damn..."

All spin. The numbers don't lie. Grant was better.

Dang....did the barn just get a few people out of the stands to play tonight? Team bus not make it to the arena?

well because that's not true. Avery has a better winning percentage against tougher schedule than grant did last year. also, it's his first year, not his second.

you might wanna double check those numbers.

You're being intentionally obtuse to prove a point, but the comparison is apples to oranges.
One coach is finishing year two worse than year one. One coach is finishing several spots higher than projected in year one.

Kicking a player off because he was a habitual hothead isn't exactly the same as running off every recruit before they even get on the court.
Your argument is hollow though when you say stats don't lie for Auburn but perception is all that matters for Bama.

You're both angry and dumb for comparing Grant to Johnson.

Na you might want to check yours. Grant to this point was better than Johnson.

Numbers don't lie. That's what all the Bama fans tell me.

Both of our rivals are irrelevant in all sports, I love it.

I've never said stats don't matter for bama. if bama is worse next year, I will absolutely be concerned. you can bookmark this post.
and again, the guy that keeps saying Avery has a worse record than grant did last year is wrong. he has a higher winning percentage against a harder schedule.
and re: Canty, by itself, sure. but people constantly blame Barbee for similar program management issues whenever this comparison comes up and then fall over themselves making excuses for Pearl for basically the same thing. sure it might not become an established pattern like it was with Barbee but we just don't know. and 2 years in, there is reason to think it might be. only reason I even brought that angle up.

Nah, Grant finished year one 17-15, and 6-10 in SEC play.
