his great offense went 9 for 25 for 104 freaking yards on our shitty defense last year with 2 picks.

so because his offense had a bad day through the air (they ran for almost 300 yards) he sucks?

i have every god damn right to question his shite offense.

yes, but you'll need more than one bad game as evidence.

dude did you watch football this last year at all? i don't know what to tell you that his shitty offense doesn't show you on a week to week basis. it's more than just looking at end of the year stats. the offense does not work against good teams unless he has some serious serious talent in the backfield. that has been proven week in and week out.

This Arkansas team will be fairly talented and expectations are around at least a top 15 team. If an interim coach performs near that top 15 level then Arky will be stuck with that interim coach. I think an interim coach is mistake.

Yep. See Bill Stewart. An interim coach is just stretching this mess out even longer and killing a full recruiting class. There is enough time and enough good coaches out there for Long to make a decision on a good coach.

The Hog's 247 site has up their hot coaching board if any of you guys want to take a look. Most of them if not all are named in this thread, I believe.

I know. It's a tough situation. Coming in after a guy that y'all regarded so highly is going to be tough. He's had some mental breakdowns.

If we can wait a year, I really want Charlie Strong.

I would like Long to try and package our offensive staff if we go after a defensive coach. Probably a tough sell but it would be nice to keep Klenakis and Cinkovich at least.

I can almost guarantee more Auburn games than you.

good offense that didn't run properly because of piss poor QB play and the injury to star WR Emory Blake.

without a good QB you can say that about any team running any offense.

Why? He has been awful at Louisville. He also learned how to run a program from the ultimate win big and leave a dumpster fire coach: Urban Meyer.

I just wonder what coaches are going to want to be after the chosen one? Tough act to follow as far as winning fan support.

His defense and recruiting. I'm living in a fantasy land right now that we will retain the same offense.

Don't ruin it for me tonight is all I ask. Its all downhill from here.

I like Charlie Strong, especially if we can keep Paul P to run the offense. Great recruiter, from Arkansas, history of great defenses.

Yep, my thoughts as well. I'm not sure we can keep Paul but Klenakis is a great coach and he was next in line to be OC before Paul came back. He has the experience from being the OC at Nevada when he was there so I could see him taking over the role.

frick It

I'm holding out for Gruden till he says no. He did talk to Miami. Arkansas may be a better fit for him than people realize.
