We’ve known for awhile that teams in Big 12 score more points because they don’t play defense.

No, it says that Alabama is really good, since the PPD was close to the same the year before Sark arrived. Also, the first game this year vs the #14 team Bama's PPD was essentially the same at 4.0. That was with Bama shutting things down the last few possessions because of the big lead.

In his last 2 years Sark had probably the greatest collection of offensive talent in the history of college football. Great OL, 3 of the top 5 in Heisman, including the winner, 4 different first round WR draft picks and Najee a first round RB and 2 first round QBs. Not counting being in the atmosphere of the greatest program and coach in college football history at its peak. He contributed but had LOTs of help.
