That is their “stance”, a stance they knew would never prevail, so they repeated the mantra for 3 years in hopes of swapping UF for Vandy or UK or maybe even Mizzou.

If you wanted the SEC to rotate around faster you should have voted for 9 games.

My post proves your byching and gripping is total B.S.

For LSU to have no respect for the traditional games and their worth is totally an ignorant viewpoint -- SEE Nebraska vs. Oklahoma, that was a STUPID MOVE and took away from all parties, OU, Nebraska and all of the fans.

Man I understand tradition matters, but people only care about their own traditions. You nor the SEC dont give a crap about LSUs night game tradition, just like we dont give a rats arse about TSIO. So of course LSU wants a 6-0-2 schedule.

The so called night game tradition change was all about TV dollars and fairness, if some teams have to play 11:30 games & 2:30 games all teams do. Besides, LSU couldn't afford ( recruiting reasons ) to never play on CBS at 2:30.

The best interests of the league as a whole is paramount.

We don't need to lose Auburn vs. Georgia or Bama vs. Tennessee, these games are important to the conference as a whole, just like Nebraska vs. OU should have been, and, imho, was the cause of the Big 12s collapse.

LSU vs. Ole Miss is a rivalry, but seeing as LSU was on the west fringe of our conference, your game was kept intact, some of the teams in the center portions of the conference had to be placed in separate divisions, but that doesn't mean they should lose their rivalries.

No one cares about UT and UA save for fans of those schools. That's my opinion. I have not watched that game in years and years.

Does Spurrier ever NOT talk about Alabama? He's so obsessed and butthurt. If he hates the fact we recruit so much better than he does then why doesn't he get off his 80 year old arse and do something about that? Not our fault you chose to become the coach of one of the worst programs in the history of football prior to your arrival.

TSIO and DSOR is not cared about by anyone besides those schools involved. So those 4 obviously voted for it, plus the little 4 who are worried about getting a tougher opponent which could cost them bowl eligibility, then I would say two other schools played the politician role and voted with the majority. My point is dont act like Bama or any school is high and mighty voting for what is best for the conference, they are all voting what is best for themselves

Spurrier wants to lease that space in your head to someone else that will actually use it. He owns it so this just a courteous reminder.

Agreed. You can also tell Saban to get off his arse and fix his defense instead of trying to change rules. But I am assuming you see that differently.....

As long as his program is stuck behind the east champs and Alabama is winning college titles every year, he can have as much space as he wants

Actually I agree with you on that. That is one of the things he needs to change ALONG with the fact he is always striving for balance to win games. He just needs to win. Hopefully Lane Kiffin will change that.

“There’s nothing fair about college football. You know that, don’t you?” he asked. “If it was fair, Alabama would have to sit out a year of recruiting. They’ve had the No. 1 class five out of six years. That’s like giving an NFL team the first five picks in the first and second round every year -- almost.

Why do some of you idiots think that Spurrier is whining? He's just telling it like it is.

Sounds like he's getting out worked. But Carolina plays good ball. They just happen to have shitty losses every year.

Seriously. He didn't come out supporting a recruiting ban or limit on Alabama. He just pointed out that things will always be uneven.
