We score over 17 and probably get beat by about 17.

So what's a realistic Hog fan prediction for the game against Texas this week?

I say we lose by around 24. Not many hog fans are looking towards the outcome of this game.

But.... we were 17 point underdogs in 2003, went to Austin, and whooped some arse.

Well, I just hope it goes better than the last time you guys took on the Big XII...

It'd probably take a pretty off day from McCoy to get that lucky again though. How's y'alls defense?

Western Illinois put up 24 points on us.

Yeah...

Unless something catastrophic happens to the entire Texas offense, like an 11 car crash on the way to class that all involves all of the starting 11, it probably won't be pretty. At least we are realistic.

Jimbo had to do the same thing at Fla. St.

One would think that Nutt would want to increase his options on offense, now that he's become "Dickless"

I was less than impressed after watching Texass play this week. I honestly could see Arky keeping this within 14 points.

Who was the coach back then??? You Pig fans are funny....You wanted Nutt gone....he's gone and all you do is talk about him....he won some big games for ya'll...took you to Atlanta twice....he didn't win the SEC in 10 years and you wanted him gone...you got your wish but he is all ya'll talk about .....for some reason ya'll think you are on the same level as LSU, Florida or UGA....you will never be...you will always be a middle of the pack SEC school with a great year every once in a while....

I agree with this. It is perplexing to me as well.

He also had a terrible bowl record and losing SEC record... not to mention the inside "political" crap. It just needed to be cleaned up. Nutt wasn't the only one we got rid of.

Do you really think most "educated" Hog fans think this? We don't have the stable of talent that you do... we know this. We will make some noise, though.

How many starters are gone from the 2007 defense?

well lets see Freddie Fairchild beat up his girl then locked her down for a while then he was being chased around Fayetteville by the police for smoking weed. Would have made the NFL what a waste.....

I liked Reggie Herring even though he had a very dismal performance against Missouri. He has the Cowboys d - line working well and I think he would have been an excellent D coordinator here but Petrino wanted a total different offensive and defensive look.

9

Also, I thought OM had a good game plan against Wake and should have won the game. However, nobody should really be surprised that Nutt wants to run the ball, even with a good QB. Ya'll have some good backs...

Where did I ever mention Nutt's name in my post?

So our win in Austin had nothing to do with the players or the assistant coaches....just Nutt?

Good logic.

Sounds reasonable to me.

Partly

The fact is that we won both of our games, Ole Miss has not. It was more of a dig at Nutt than the actual teams.

So same can be said for Nutt...So he had nothing to do with that win or upsetting LSU last year?? Like I said the man is gone....ya'll should be happy.....
