Last time i remember everyoen getting off on what the FBI was doing was when they raided that dealership in gadsden...and everyone (yes especially aubies) were convinced they were going to find something on bama. Turns out it was about taxes. Any chance this coudl be about taxes...cause that'd be great.

How is this bad for us exactly?
How is John bond connected to Auburn at all whatsoever?
That was why I specified that things could get bad for the Newton's, if there is any truth to the agent or money story. That's where it starts, but it could trickle over to vacated wins, and from there...who knows?
This is the way it went for Albert Means, and you saw how that went for Bama in the end.

I am not knowledgeable regarding the FBI, but I would be very suprised if they had any type of broad subpoena power that they could use in this matter.
Most of the info the FBI gets will come in the form of giving those involved 2 options:
1. Give us the info we are asking for
or
2. We prosecute you

Well, I guess the Bishop will be turning over those church ledgers again...

Yeah you are right, the FBI can just get whatever they want, whenever they want it, from whomever they want without demonstrating any probable cause or justifying it to a judge. Most police organizations in the country have such broad power. Glad someone has clarified the limits of the FBI's subpoena power.

The Rant is getting pretty old. It's more pathetic than ITAT at its most pathetic.
As others have said, if Auburn did wrong, then so be it. We deserve to be punished. But if not I can guarangoddamntee you that every single one of the posters piling on Cam Newton and Auburn will scurry back under the fridge like a bunch of cockroaches.
I've heard absolutely none of you Ranters say what, if anything, you have to say if Auburn is innocent. Crickets.

Are they not connected to AU?
Bingo!

The FBI is involved because churchs are non-profit organizations that do not pay taxes. So the FBI is getting involved simply because they think there is a money trail they are not interested in whether a reporter is telling the truth or not. They will want to know if someone is fricking the government out of their cut.
Is someone donated money to his fathers church and took a tax break and it was a pay off then Auburn is fricked. This is not good for Auburn.
Lying to a reporter is one thing but if you lie to the FBI you are an idiot.

Has the FBI ever gotten involved in an NCAA investigation and it been a good thing for the school the player was at?

Regarding Cam Newton

Reading ITAT is hilarious. They think the FBI's involvement is all about them coming to Auburn's rescue and going after all the meanies talking bad about them. They're oblivious to the fact that this likely means all the characters involved in the potential Newton agent/pay for play violations are going to get a full body proctology exam/search and get to the bottom of whether money changed hands. Mr. Newton isn't going to be able to pick and choose what financial records to give up.
This has some eerie similarities to the Albert Means case

Sicne they first came out with errors, I can assume you will be skeptical on their stories moving forward with their history of errors.
Here's the thing, I've been suspicious of every story that has come out, and logically challenged the merits of it...whereas you have only been suspicious of the ones that implicate Auburn or the Newtons.
