I suspect that many of all these deep south inbreds are going to step all over the grass on campus hollering, and people will keep walking. We don't get upset if you walk on grass LOL, and as you all know by know we don't walk on the grass of the MSC for respect. Now if you want to be a giant douchebag, troll, cause a scene, then come running over to TD giggling to share your story, then thats up to you bra

At least the Service Academies earn commissions upon graduating.
Tell that to the 27 Aggie Officers killed in OIF and OEF since September 11th...and the 205 Army Officers in my year group (including me) who commissioned between December 1999 and August 2000...and the 8 Army, 2 Marine (soon to be 3, one just got picked up for O7), and 4 USAF Aggies currently on active duty that are General Officers.
Hope you're not taking Computer Science at the Naval Academy. One of my fish buddies (LCDR) would be your instructor right now.
Hope you're not an Armor Captain. One of my fish buddies (MAJ) would be your assignments officer.
Hope you're not in a unit subordinate to NETCOM (Commanding General is an Aggie) or AMEDD (DCG is an Aggie)
I could go on, but you're probably too stupid to understand.

Ever dealt with Cadet Command? Each school that is not a service academy has limits imposed by DoD as to how many officers they can commission. A&M would commission many more officers if they were allowed to.
Also, at least 25% of all plebes wash out by the time they sign their contracts their junior year at all academies, so even they aren't "guaranteed" contracts.
In other words: point rebuked.

Academy cadets aren't "guaranteed" to commission until after their second year (the same timeframe normal ROTC cadets must decide whether to pursue a contract). And I say "guaranteed" because academy cadets still have to maintain academic standards, discipline, etc. over their final two years in order to graduate/commission--just like their SMC counterparts at A&M.
In short, your point blows. Entertaining reading though, so thanks for that, I guess

By the time you reach O3, any precommissioning advantage that may have carried you through your Lieutenant years (prior enlisted, SMC, Academy, athlete) has dissolved and you're all equally set to succeed, fail, or just get by.

Tell that to the dumbasses on this thread who think they know not only how commissioning programs work, but also what active duty life is about.
But hey, the Daytona 500 is literally on fire right now so I'm glad for the diversion

You Aggies try so hard to defend yourselves on the Rant, which I can attest to. But you guys do it like pussies. Have some fricking balls and quit being so polite. Welcome to the Deep South!
