Please, tell me, what is the style of us douchebags?

I think Choctaw probably said it well enough. The preppy dress-up festival in Oxford is amusing, but then the audacity to lecture others on how to dress is absurd and laughable. I couldn't care less whether Missouri's fans wear jerseys to a game. I also don't care when Florida fans wear their jorts or when I see a Georgia woman in red and black polyester with big hair and a cigarette. Who cares what people wear to a game, as long as they're not indecent (and unattractive)?

This isn't exclusive to Oxford and it's not only Ole Miss fans in this thread. To be honest, The Grove isn't really my sort of scene, but grown men thinking it's absurd to wear some sort of collared shirt absolutely anywhere is pretty funny.

So do you lose it on a daily basis when you go into work and see others dressed well?? OMG THE HILARITY!!!

People are going to hate on Ole Miss, and it's the ones that wear jorts and a jersey to their teams games. Ole Miss exudes class unlike any other SEC school, and that carries over to game days. Let the haters hate

No where did I say people who dress well are gay. I'm a business professional during the week, wear polo's to games. What is gay is 13 page thread about what other grown men wear to a college football game.

I agree with this actually....

I always tuck in my jersey. Is that good enough?

Nothing makes me madder than fans who let their jerseys hand to their crotch. It gives jersey wearers a bad name.

This thread turned out better than I expected. Hopefully I changed some people's lives in the process.

A memo regarding how an ellipsis works would probably be more appropriate, generally something comes after the ".......". There seems to be a correlation with the poors attire and their grammatical skills.

For me...

Orange or White Under Armour coach's polo...tucked in

Khaki Shorts w/ Auburn belt

Navy blue Nike sun visor with small eagle on the front

A pair of comfortable leather boat shoes or footie socks & a nice pair of tennis shoes

As for wearing button ups with blazers in the South during the first part of the season...that's almost as ridiculous as all of the updykes sporting the latest bammer Starter jersey from Wal-Marks.

I think if you were to actually objectively observe the Ole Miss fan base, you'd see that we don't dress THAT much differently than other SEC schools. Aside from freshmen and people trying to be funny (the LSU pimps or the guys at OM games who dress up like Elvis), most SEC fans wear polos or appropriately colored button ups and shite. You do have a lot of LSU, Bama, and Tennessee fans wearing t-shirts, but that's whatever.

Some people need a lecture.

If you think we ACTUALLY care then you're fooling yourself.

What you mean is "what's HILARIOUS is a 13 page thread" on this.

Wife jokes? My favorite! You mean like when I miss a putt a few feet short and you say, "Nice putt, does your husband play?" How funny and original you are!!!

Just to recap - the fans from the poorest state in the US, attending school with tuition of about $5k/yr, and a very small endowment - is trying to talk trash about clothes? Here is a tip, don't spend all of your money on clothes, try investing it. In about 20 years, maybe you won't be the poorest any more.

Yea again, wearing a polo is "dressing pompous" in Missouri?

Good Lord.
