re: Now that the Tad Pad is almost gone, what is the SEC's worst facility in Big 3?

I'm curious about the age of people posting about the stadiums, in general.
There seems to be a tendency to consider anything that isn't modern, as terrible- which it isn't. A good case study is Vanderbilt's football stadium, which people bash in a round about way-- when really, it just isn't modern. In terms of access, comparative atmosphere, location, etc., it isn't that bad. Commonwealth Stadium in Kentucky has every one of the same problems, and is poorer in each of those regards-- but has much better food, and a slightly more modern look. Honestly, they'd be a coin flip. I'll be really interested in going to Commonwealth again, once their $100+ million renovation project is complete, to see how much the experience has changed.
That said, the Tad Pad (RIP soon) and Missouri Baseball are a toss up, in my experience, just a tick ahead of Humphrey Coliseum; all 3 should be replaced. Ole Miss deserves credit for dumping the Tad Pad.
Whoever put Williams-Brice in their list....I'm not sure what to say. It seems a very adequate, mid-level SEC stadium. Its not going to blow you away with fantastic amenities, but its not like it is an awful football experience. The location is more a problem, than the facility itself.
Oh- and in terms of stealth-suckiness, Coleman Coliseum deserves a nod. Alabama deserves better than that airplane hanger that doubles as a basketball court. You need binoculars to see the game from the front row.

I get your point, but I think you're reaching a bit.
Cases in point, Mizzou's baseball stadium...
Florida's baseball stadium...
..vs TCU's baseball stadium...
TCU's Lupton Stadium was built in 2003...

Alabama has too damn much money not to build a new arena. Still waiting after throwing $20 million in "updates" at it in 2006.

Right now, it's up in the air as to which type of facility will become the latest and greatest in the on-going SEC arms race. TAMU, Arkansas, Tennessee, and most recently South Carolina have upped the ante in terms of softball stadiums. So I'll go with that.

Isnt LSU's basketball arena pretty much a dump? Has to be one of the worst basketball arenas left in the conference now that Ole Miss is getting a new arena
Umm no, I really like the pmac. People bitch about it because it doesn't have suites. But who gives a shite? That's not going to make more people go to the games.

Rhodes Stadium is a pretty damn good facility for Alabama softball.

As is Tiger Park for LSU. But both have been/will be overtaken by the schools I mentioned, and have some work to do to catch up. Arkansas's, Tennessee's and South Carolina's right now, and Texas A&M's planned stadium are all better than most college baseball stadiums. Including yours right now.

Vaught-Hemingway is a dump. As far as the field goes you live in Mississippi and can't grow grass. What a POS.
Completely unbiased statement

Including Alabama's baseball stadium? It's undergoing a $43 million dollar renovation as we speak.

VHS is underrated. I love that road trip.

I definitely wouldn't say it is on the level of Bryant-Denny or anything but I've always enjoyed it.

BDS is second to none in most categories but needs a concourse update. That's on the agenda.

I said right now. I do know about your renovation, seen the renderings, and that will change once it's done. But right now, I stand by what I said. Not like you'd be alone in that though.
Right now, I'd take Arkansas's softball stadium over Auburn's baseball stadium...and Plainsman Park is one of the better facilities of it's size in the country.
That's how good the softball stadiums I mentioned are.

Sewell-Thomas Stadium becomes a top five stadium in the country with this massive overhaul.

You really think that's still true? I mean, it's in the top four or five stadiums in the SEC, but I wouldn't put it at the top in several categories. Overall premium seating, it's probably third now. Number of restrooms and concessions, prolly fourth. Sightlines and closeness to the field, middle of the pack.

Slow your roll. It's right in line with Texas A&M's...which is behind the stadiums at Arkansas, LSU, South Carolina, and Ole Miss. And Mississippi State is building the best of them all.

Yes I do. It's a damn palace.

You're entitled to think what you think. I gave my reasons why I differ.

We can't change sighlines. And I've already stated concourses are next to be updated. Premium seating? BDS has the most luxury boxes in the country.

A big part of why I said what I said.

Us, too. We're both behind UF, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State, and soon Kentucky in that regard.
I'm not hatin' here. I'm just trying to be the voice of reason. We got our work to do here at LSU, too. The good news is, with this SECN money about to start rollin' in, we'll all be having some -sparkling- facilities soon.
