Georgia outplayed and outcoached Bama for almost four quarters prior to the fake punt. I know bulldog fans are pissed but you guys are gonna be much better next year and that is scary. Bama too should be better. All trolling aside your future looks bright. Glad we don't have to play Georgia again. I think we have the better team but I am glad we eliminated you guys. Good luck against Texas.

I truly think Georgia wins without that fake punt.

Hurts was on fire but he isn’t THAT big of a deep strike threat and I think Bama would have run out of time.

I also think Bama wins if Tua doesn't get hurt on the 4th play.

I also think UGA would have won without the fake punt. They outplayed Alabama for more than 95% of the game

The game was tied, hard to say what would have happened if we went to OT.

I should have been more clear. In OT I think it would have suited GA.

Don’t think so. Bama had scored 14 unanswered points and probably would have scored the winning td/FG even without the fake.

Thanks, man! We hope and feel like we should be better next year. It's always a fun game when we play Alabama. Right now I am feeling more determined than defeated.

I mean, you guys beat us, but I am of the mind to keep coming back for more and hopefully beat you one year, soon.

Hot Rod missing the chip shot FG that would've put UGA up by 17 is when I started feeling uneasy about the game's outcome.

It's possible. You never know. Hurts was doing great, so it's hard to say we would have stopped him. I think we got into trouble when we didn't get it in the endzone to go up by 21. I don't think Alabama would have come back from that.....but I thought, well, Blankenship is money in the 30-40 yard range, so we might close it out or at least make it really tough if he makes the FG...then he missed.

Same for me. I began thinking, "This reminds me a lot of last years game."

Now that the immediate reaction to the fake punt has passed... I was highly critical... I can see why UGA tried it.

Saw a great breakdown of it on ESPN this week and now I can see why it was tried and how a 1 second delay allowed Bama to move people to cover. Bama was in exactly the same position they had been in 2 previous punts.

Kirby knew his defense was gassed and it wasn't that bad of a call. It certainly is not equivalent to Pete Carrol passing on the 1 yard line with a beast in the backfield.

IT is easy to be gracious when you are at the top, the real you gets revealed when you are at the bottom.

i don't think Bama was out coached in second half. at worst a dead even coaching half, but i think bama outcoached in that half.

UGA will win a natty under Smart. i don't think anyone doubts that probability. and i hope they do... just not if it means beating us

That game was an absolute instant classic.

Kirby chocked in big games. Against LSU, why would attempt a fake field goal that early in the game? That changed the entire game. Also, getting away from the running game is also a head scratcher. That is some Joe Moorhead bs

I wouldn't say 95%. 60-70%. They absolutely outplayed us in the first half. No argument there. But the 2nd half, from midway through the 3rd, was mostly Bama. Georgia scored their last TD with almost 13 minutes left in the 3rd. And missed the FG with about 8 minutes left in the 3rd. After that they didn't do much aside from the interception and Bama scored 3 TDs. I think they only made it across midfield once more after the missed FG.

I don't think they win . Bama was making a comeback. Also I wish Ga would have made it . I feel like they played a great game , but not Bama . If Tua hadn't gotten hurt in the first drive I think we mash them pretty good. Hate away all you want but that is my opinion.. ROLL TIDE !!

The problem is that Fields wasn't.

If Fields were a regular member of the punt team, fine. But you trot fields out there like that just trying to blend in, of course they cover it.

Richt (and then Kirby) used our backup QB Brice Ramsey as our punter for years, so having a QB on the field during a punt was normal.

But this has been beaten to death.
