Texas Tech is really good. They would have competed well in the SEC this year. They spent $20-$30 million on this year’s roster. That defense is elite.

Not disagreeing with any of this but right now two conferences seem to be driving the train. A lot of that has to do with brand recognition which no offense to the B12 but they lack that in football. Even though the ACC may be weaker in football compared to the B12 based on performance they still carry a higher brand recognition in my opinion.

ND should join the conference JMU is in

ND would be a nice geographical fit for the Mid-American Conference, playing Ball State, which is 150 miles away, and the directional Michigan schools. Plus, there's that mid- and late-season midweek MACtion package on ESPN.

The SEC must be out for reasons on their side, I doubt Sankey would reject them.

It’d be an idiotic thing to do. They are as big a brand in the sport as they come.

That will get Notre Dame an auto bid almost every year
Ya think? I don’t.

They’re going to get Iowa State who has made a living off dragging teams into a phone booth for a fight. Texas Tech has arisen, and I don’t think they’ll go away soon. BYU and Utah will wear you down.

Conference play is more about survival than anything else. Wait till Notre Dame’s injury list starts growing because they have to play the starters deep into the 4th rather than sit them in the 3rd because they’re facing hapless Syracuse or Boston College.

They aren’t likely to enjoy joining any conference. And their misery is very enjoyable.

And Texas basically destroyed that conference. Did the B12 not learn their lesson

Aggy lies, your too gullible.

The Truth is Nebraska started it simply because they couldn't beat Texas. Huskers were 1-10 vs UT and they didn't like it.

Aggy followed making all sorts of excuses but mostly the Longhorn Network, this after anm was invited to co-ownership of the then unnamed network
Aggy said they couldn't afford the initial investment.

This and the fact they still own the school 30 million, but they're now rich beyond belief.

Before that it was Arkansas crying about all Texas officials. True there were official from Texas. And Baylor, TCU, Tech, Rice, and others including officials from Arkansas, but somehow it was all blamed on Texas.

How many years did people say that Texas and Oklahoma thought that they were too good for the SEC? Somehow the two sides got around to working that out. Culturally Notre Dame would be a better fit with the Big 10.
