That's really the issue. But if you do that players are gonna get in the way of the view - that's why you have weird angles that can make things look different than they really are or prove to be inadequate for overturning a call.

But if a camera isn't on the line, it's apparently borderline useless. Might as well add some cameras on the line.

Okay yeah. Those are good. If you get Cajun fries that are actually warm and not soggy those are good too.

They built a Popeyes on the edge of our school parking lot when I was in middle school. I would try and find enough change throughout the school day to go buy a biscuit and maybe some mashed potatoes if I got lucky that day. I ate it so much I haven't had it but a handful of times since I got out of middle school.

Put the camera two yards on the other side of the goal line and see how it looks. Not close.

I dunno about it not being close. We're talking about inches either way.

How in the hell was that not overturned? Ball was clearly across and no knee down, you could see both his legs up.

Every football stadium in the country should have 4 cameras permanently afexed to be perfectly pointed down the goal line on both sides at all times.

That's exactly it, another player was blocking the view of his legs on the one shot that showed he crossed the plane.

I've not been a fan of replay for a long time. There is absolutely no common sense involved, it's about overturning the call on the field and having a view which shows everything in one frame or you're screwed. Some may think that's a good thing and who knows maybe it is in the scheme of things but it ceases to correct a lot of bad calls IMO.

I can see both his legs way above the ground, ball is clearly across, by a good bit. Even if the angle is perfect it's clear the ball is over.

I hate LSU as much as anybody but this is a blown call and a bad non-overturn.

Oh well, LSU should be able to overcome it.

You can do that but you're still gonna have to elevate it and point it at a downward angle to get a view of the goal line. Really and truly good ole fashioned still shots are the best way to do a review and with rapid fire digital SLRs you can do that. The problem is it takes wayyyyyy too much time to send those to a proper monitor and then go through a bazillion still shots.
