They couldn’t have play a worse game against Tennessee (2 turnovers, 17 penalties) and were a missed FG from winning on the road.

And Tennessee gift wrapped them a free fumble off a botched handoff that the D walked in for a TD.

You all will get your arse whipping and whatever answers you need to how shite you are on Saturday. Just chill out until then. No one is buying the Oregon was a good win, and your 75th SOS reflects that entirely

Tennessee's ranking is appropriate based on their resume'.
We can either beat them in Athens Saturday or not; it's simple as that.
Frankly, I don't like our chances but hopefully the home field advantage will make the difference.

You want disrespect? They said they put TCU behind Bama b/c "We're looking for a balanced team, offense and defense. They've gotten behind in games."

Have they even watched Bama play this year?

Playing on emotion doesn't last and may cause some to treat it like sprint rather than a marathon.

Better to prep as normal and handle business. UgA is the better team.

Utk kicked a knuckle ball in to beat Bama with turnover advantage, 17 Bama penalties, and missed Bama FGs, at home and only won by 3.

Just be yourselves. No need for false "billboard material" drama. Act like you've been there, as you have. Handle business.

If not, move the frick over and I'll be happy to watch TSIO v2 in ATL... assuming Bama finishes off the next 2 weeks on top

Probably.

They probably watched them win one they shouldn't have and lose one vs #1 that they easily could have won.

All caught up.

It's #6 vs 7 argument. It's dumb.

Win out, win the conference and it will even out.

Too bad fans don't control the outcome. The Vols offense is legit and it doesn't really matter about your D is you get worn down. Sideline to sideline will silence a defense and more importantly an armchair coach. You had better be able to run the ball and force a few outs.

You watch much college football? Home crowds can and do have an effect on games. Ask any head coach. It’s my opinion that home crowds a lot of times have an effect on officials.

Agreed. Tennessee deserves the #1 spot on SoS alone. Objectively, it’s really not debatable. It all gets worked out Saturday.

Now, OSU……….that one I don’t get. If you’re looking at SoS to support UT (and you should), how do you suddenly ignore that same metric and put OSU at #2 with a straight face?

This is what Brett Edgerton tweeted out regarding strength of schedule/strength of record:

quote:

Here’s the @ESPNStatsInfo Strength of Record metric, which measures how likely it is that an average top-25 team would achieve the same record against that team’s schedule. In other words, the avg ranked team would have only an 8% chance to go 8-0 with Tennessee’s schedule ??

Twitter link

I don't know how those analytics are weighted or if ESPN Stats Info is using something different from others but it does favor OSU over UGA in terms of SoS.

That likely changes now as UGA will face a number one ranked Tennessee which will help somewhat but for now we're the only ones remaining on your schedule that can raise your SoS and a win would eliminate the argument completely. On the flip side, OSU still has Michigan on deck.

I guess OSU got a bump from Penn State but outside them, they hadn’t played a single ranked team. And Penn State gave them all they wanted for three quarters. The rest of their schedule is………Big Ten soft. I just don’t get it. The beauty of it is it’ll all get worked out, one game at a time.

Good. Get them overhyped and playing tight. Get them reading the bulletin board and talking about a business plan. The Vols are just having fun playing a game.
