but I don't think any team in the country could have beat Alabama yesterday

That's easy to say and impossible to prove one way or the other, but thing is...USC, LSU, and Auburn beat Bama on game day this year.

Bama was 4th in the SEC west, but 5th in the nation in your mind???

Nooooooooo way you are sounding biased.

Rollllllllllllllllll SEC

As much as it pains me to say this, FALSE.

When Auburn is clicking on O and D, there's no one that can beat them. No one has stopped Cam.

seriously man every team can do that. I know the hogs can. Mallett was hurt for our biggest game of the year. Our starting running back got a serious injury early on and missed the season. Our best receiver missed the last few games with an ACL injury. It goes on and on

I'm not saying it doesn't. Last year we didn't have as many. We needed luck and to stay healthy. Hightower tore his acl/mcl, and Arenas had a rib injury but it wasn't anything like we had this year.

Also, we didn't have the depth we did last year. We are still a very young team.

I agree. Cam is the gamebreaker that makes all the difference, like Timmy at florida.

We will be just as good on offense next year as we were this year and probably a little better.

Obviously, much of your season will depend on the play of AMac.

Agreed, defense will be nasty.

When Bama was playing at their best, they did. To the tune of -11 yards. If they could have played with the same ability in the second half as the first, I think they could easily. Having said that, Auburn won, so it's a moot point.

Well, if you want to look at it at that way, everybody stopped Cam for at least a play or 2 every game, and if they would have played like that on every play, they would have shut him down.

The fact of the matter is that in the 2nd half of the game played on the field, Cam arse raped Bama like it was nobody's business.

The sec will be tough next year

I think Wilson will do well at arky

The bama qb and LSU qb will struggle IMO

It's gonna be a close sec w race late in nov IMO.

The facts are the Tide OL gave up nearly twice as many sacks as either LSU or Arkansas. Throw in a new starting QB and that is a recipe for disaster.

The Tide DL was slow this year, which is why Alabama was at the bottom of the SEC in sacks and tackles for loss. And they will lose their best pass rusher.

Those were good reasons why Alabama finished fourth in the west this year, even with an experienced QB.

I've got the Tide finishing third next year, behind LSU and Arkansas.

Which is why I qualified the statement. And the opinions are pure speculation on both sides. I still believe, that IF Bama could play a full 60 like yesterday, they'd beat anyone put in front of them, no matter if the other team played to their abilities. I just think the talent is that good on the Bama team, it's just young and made too many mistakes this year. In the end, it was a 10 win team, and as I said yesterday in a thread, if that's the bottom of the barrel in a rebuilding year, I'll take it every time.
