This Philip Shanks?

Lawyer involved in NCAA lawsuit found beaten
As reported on CNNSI.com
A lawyer for a former Alabama assistant coach suing the NCAA was attacked in his office and had key case documents stolen.
Police wouldn't say if Friday's attack that left Memphis lawyer Philip Shanks unconscious is related to his representation of Ronnie Cottrell in a federal criminal investigation of the recruiting scandal that landed Alabama on NCAA probation.
Shanks has also been involved in preparing a civil suit for Cottrell and another former Alabama assistant, Ivy Williams, against the NCAA.
So that's where Ole Harvey got his dumbass idea for the Auburn gas station stunt?

OU and UT both denied being asked for money. Doesn't mean it did or didn't happen, but there are certainly logical and reasonable scenarios where Cam went to AU without being paid. Obviously, it is reasonable to question or even think he might have been paid at AU.

Yea Cecil does seem like the kind that can hide 150k from anybody.
Not at all. However, he can hide the REQUEST for $150K from his own son...or so I've been told.

Why. Everything seems like they were ready to go along with it till Bell got involved and raised the red flags.

Probably, no telling how much shite Harvey tore up on Tennessee's campus back when all of that was going on.

They could have easily said that they got wind of his dad wanting money and they decided to back off of his recruitment. They didn't have to say anything, but chose to come out and say that they didn't notice anything wrong.

-Yahoo Sports is now the leader in investigative journalism in CFB
-2000-2007 Assistant AD is being investigated at Bama
-Presser is now in 3 weeks
-
-AU is not getting the banhammer....instead we're going to be arse raped by the NCAA
-Bamamag.com now = bleacher report
-Crow Pie is at the Grand Canyon and an AU fan wants him to jump in
-Love the Lord jumped in the thread (shocker)
-HBO has a second special on AU and Yahoo sports has an article on AU about to come out
-The package that Luper supposedly received (the one that made him angry) in Auburn is odd. He's in Texas (apparently).
-Auburn being compared to the Casey Anthony Trial
-
and this is the update up to page 40....
You're welcome WDE

nice... glad you have memorized those bedtime stories your sidewalk alumnus daddy told you in an effort to excuse getting that arse beat in BDS! AU is in the clear regarding all things Cam Newton; its best that your accept that fact instead of clinging to those butt hurt dreams of restitution!!!

How many schools offered him money? Is it not reasonable that when MSU turned him down, after he had an "inside source" at MSU, that he would go elsewhere, even if he didn't get paid?
It's a possibility that Cecil could have sent Cam to a school without pay.
But, it just goes against Cecil's philosophy of not wanting his son to be a "rented mule". Cecil's comments that "it won't be free this time" would lead us to believe that he wanted compensation for Cam's services regardless of where he went.
Cecil view's Cam as his cash cow ~ he attempted to get compensation for Cam's services out of Juco.
Hell, he's still looking for his payday at the hands of his son, he said so in his most recent interview.
