Is Drew Lock's path to the NFL a statement for other Junior QB's that returning for another year of seasoning may, in the long run, shorten the transition to starting NFL QB?

Clearly, we don't know what his final results will be this year, however, he has captured the attention of most of the league and football media thus far.

There are other examples where coming back hurt a players draft stock. Justin Herbert and Jake Fromm are recent examples. I think it will continue to be a case by case basis, but I don’t think this is any kind of watershed moment where people will look at Lock and say they are returning if they are projected in the 1st.

Impressive what he has done, but that doesnt mean it will continue.

His first year isn't anything to rave about. He had one good performance, one bad performance, and three mediocre performances. Three of the 5 games he played were against teams that missed the playoffs. Plus, he didn't really light up the scoreboard and threw for less than 200 yards 3 times in 5 games.

So no, it's not a statement to other college QBs. Keep in mind he only had to beat out an old Joe Flacco and Brandon Allen for the job.
