It’s a shame, because I think the Alabama defense is deserving of a playoff shot. It’s a team game, though, and the offense sucks.

Great idea. Let the gump defense have a playoff berth. Let's see how that works.

I guess my point went completely over your head. I’m saying that I think the Alabama defense is generally a playoff caliber defense, but the Alabama offense stinks and that’s what ruined things for Alabama. I didn’t literally mean Alabama’s defense should get to play in the playoffs.

You do know the committee makes no money off of tv ratings, right?

No it did not, Mr. Gump. Your "point" if it be so, is a logical impossibility.

The number two team in the sec doesn't make it in?

They’re not the number 2 team. They shouldn’t have been in the CCG. Same as Duke. The CCG’s should be the two highest ranked teams or just get rid of the game. Should have been Ole miss and Miami in those games. Would have been better games and also would have given more clarity on who the best teams actually are

Vegas models say Bama is the 5th best team in SEC. Nothing more accurate and unbiased than that.

True compared to ND and Bama. But what i think they’re secretly discussing is the broad ACC implications. If Miami is out then the ACC has legit beef with Miami having beaten ND plus their champ was not recognized. It will likely all be used as a primary motivating factor for their top schools to leave the conference. Not sure if the committee wants the blame for that
