Michigan is basically shut out of the Big 10 CG short of real crazy stuff. My guess is they could only jump BYU at the most unless other teams lose.

That's crazy. The MRed calculator basically gives Michigan no realistic chance, even if they beat Ohio State and USC beats Oregon.

You implied GA was safe but if the scenarios above happened without other upsets either GA or Bama would have to be left out most likely.

Yep MI has hardly any chance to make the Big 10 game.

yes, I said a 10-2 UGA would make the playoffs. Never mentioned bama. Any other inferring was being done on your end.

But one would very likely be left out if the GT scenario happened without other upsets. So they would have to choose to leave either Bama or GA out. Not a likely scenario with the games still to play but possible.

To imply that Georgia gets in at 10-2 but you don’t include Bama is a mistake because they beat you head to head. Bama is in first in a two loss scenario.

didn't realize there'd only be 3 SEC teams making it

Its been so long since clean old fashioned hate was competitive that most of CFB has forgotten what it actually is but GT blew their once in a decade shot at UGA last year. It was a game effort but they came up short. They might get a TCU type beating on Black Friday. UGA is not the program to face when they have something to prove and they have something to prove in the state of Georgia....it is liable to be UGLY. Tech is as good as they have been in years but they ain't catching UGA sleeping 2 seasons in a row.

Numbers wise, there is no way a game can be as bad as TCU

as Oregon should drop a lot with a loss to USC

Which jumps USC to #10 and replaces Oregon and doesn't really solve your supposed problem. People are sleeping on USC's clear path to the Playoffs which also keeps Notre Dame high, further compounding your "SEC problem".

I dont see a path for USC barring some big upsets or them winning the Big 10 CG which would take Michigan beating OSU to even make the game.

TT would still be in with a BIG 12 championship game loss

would they...?

what if Cincinnati magically beats BYU this weekend, heads to the Big XII Championship and upsets Texas Tech, while Miami wins out...

Georgia would move to #10, Alabama would move to #9

They would both be in

The committee isnt going to drop them out for losing the extra game imo. I highly doubt the committee lets anyone pass the losers of those extra games except in a case where a team passes them that won their conference game.

Keep an eye on Miami...

I predict they will jump both Utah and BYU and be sitting at #11...the bubble spot

A slip up by someone, like Mizzou over OU, Auburn over Alabama, etc., and they are in

You're talking about the conference championship games?

You're right, generally the committee doesn't want to drop participants...doesn't mean they won't do it and justify it though. Nothing is ironclad with the committee.

If Texas Tech were to lose in ugly fashion....and you start comparin their resume with Miami...wellllllllll who knows
