Yeah, Tennessee Tech and ULM are nothing compared to the powerhouses Jacksonville State and Tulane.

My post wasn't about YOUR defense or our defense. It was about the fact that Masoli looks like a sandlot quarterback as is. He won't look any better when he starts facing SEC defenses.

Some Rebel asked what we thought. Thats why I posted what I think.

Don't hate.

Masoli looks at least as good as Mallett. We just have a running game to go with it.

Of course. Who would expect a guy who came in August to get any better at the playbook and being back playing football can only make you worse

I tried to tell Ole Miss fans before the season about all the ? marks this yr.I said y'all will have a clusterfrick of an offense with all the inexperience on the line, loss of playmakers and Nathan Stanley at QB(This was before the whole Masoli situation)I said your defense will not be as good b/c you lost your top 2 playmakers last yr.Then I ask if Masoli would be as good without his playmakers from Oregon. There is no sandbagging here.Ole Miss is in trouble this yr and I don't see any way you make a bowl game, even with your easy schedule.I wasn't trying to flame in the preseason.I thought I brought up some legit ? marks for Ole Miss coming into the season.Turns out I was right.

While you very well could be right its still a bit early to write us off completely. You speak as if you dont think we ll be competitive in the egg bowl. Not saying you are for sure but if indeed you do believe that I got nothing for you

Ole Miss is suffering from a McCluster hangover. Without McCluster last year, Ole Miss loses at least three more games, including UT, LSU and probably Arky.

Ole Miss is also suffering from breaking in a new OC who is probably just a conduit for Nutt, who is a sketchy offensive mind IMO.

They are also suffering from recruiting busts, as all schools do...but I think their busts have more bounce because it relates directly to the recruiting of Nutt.

Orgeron should have a statue on campus for putting the talent in place to win two Cotton Bowls. That talent level has diminished due to lack of quality recruiting by Nutt in the last two or three classes. I understand he has a very solid looking class coming in 2011, however.

Bottomline, Ole Miss is settling into what they will be under Nutt. They will lose to someone they shouldn't every year, beat someone they shouldn't every year and the rest will be just average to slightly above average by Ole Miss standards.

I dunno where you are getting this

Nutt has recruited better at Ole Miss than Ogre did
