I wouldn't trade Nick Saban for any coach, period. But if we didn't have him, I'd be thrilled with Les. He's a very good coach and very personable.

I don't know that his personality would work in Tuscaloosa but aside from that are you freaking kidding me?

All the guy's done in eight years is win 80% of his games, w1n a national title, play for a second, and win the toughest division in college football three times.

I think he's a magnificent coach, but I truly don't think he would do anywhere as well at Arkansas as he is doing at LSU.
I'm of the opinion that he came in, and has maintained the program which Saban built (seriously not flaming here). I don't know if there's enough of a program in place for Les to come in and be successful. If Les were to have come in April, I would probably be happy to have him.

No.

He would have some decent years here for sure but nothing like some of the ones he had at LSU (2011).

Even better is that Alabama fans would take Les. Yet, Arky wouldn't

Alabama is a bit of a different situation retard. I would take him too if I were an Alabama fan.

Exactly. Les IS a great coach, but I think his strong suit is to maintain an already "built" program.

Am I wrong?

I completely agree with you. He did a great job taking over the reigns at LSU. Not positive LSU would be where it is now without Saban's help. No knock on Les because I don't wan't him going anywhere.

uh yeah you are.

6 seasons out of 8 with atleast 10 wins

Mr. Saban did not achieve that here, didn't come close actually

so while Mr Saban did a great job here, Les has only done better

it's CFB. Nothing and I mean NOTHING is built for more than 2-3 years max and even that timeframe is a stretch

I agree - but Les didn't have to dig LSU out of a cellar. He's doing wonders @ LSU, and wish him the best - but I don't think he's necessarily the answer to the problems Arkansas has right now.

ok. I don't want him to leave anyway

but I think the thought that Arky has problems that he couldn't overcome is rather foolish.

The man has recruited Texas at OSU and LSU. Something Arky depends on, recruiting Texas

he has pulled in blue chippers from Cali, SC, Florida, Bama and Mississippi and of course Louisiana

form my view, Arky has issues with recruiting. Need to keep the top 5 in state, 10 from texas, 2-3 from Miss/LA/Georgia/Bama/Florida

I guess you think he couldn't do that at Arkansas. That is fine. But it says more about Arkansas to think that way than it does Les Miles

I do enjoy his bravado.

I don't really know if he is a good technical coach, but I think the players must enjoy playing for him.

fine with me, I'm glad.

but Im still waiting on these problems that can't be overcome by a guy who wins 80% of the time.

don't like him, ok. don't care. But someone said Arky has problems that es couldn't overcome, just wondering what you or others think those are
