That was such a bad call by replay officials, I thought Ole Miss fans were completely justified.
Even if they had not blown the whistle no one played the ball like it was a backwards pass. Only a reply official could dig so deep they feel justified in reversing the call on the field.
Factor-in that a whistle blew it dead and it was one of the worst overturns in football history.

No there was no excuse for that. It was a black eye for the league which already has a bad image when it comes to rude fans.

That was tame. Back in the days before soy, they had swole frat bros that threw square whiskey bottles and could make them break to the right or left.. depending on deflection and lead.
