Didn't Texas a&m bitch and moan about missing the playoffs in 2020 despite losing to Alabama by an even wider margin?

Aggie logic never fails

What about teams that get blown out in their Conference Championship games?

Bama took Georgia to the wood shed in the SEC Championship game last season. Imagine if Georgia was left out of the playoffs because of that loss.

No team that played like LSU did against FSU belongs anywhere near the SECCG or the playoffs.

Considering Kirby’s track record against LSU and the arse whippings UGA received from them, I can understand why you would not want them anywhere near your Bulldogs.

Teams improve throughout the year! It's not that hard to understand this. LSU struggled against FSU for a multitude of reasons:

1.) New Coach/New Coaches with a new system
2.) New QB in new system
3.) Transfer Central with the entire secondary basically being mercenaries due to the previous regime.

Again, teams improve throughout the year. That's why t if you are going to lose a game it is ideal to lose earlier in the year. IF LSU wins out they have a good shot to get in to the CFP.

no team with all male cheerleaders should be allowed to play in the SEC.

SNA deserves some grief for the bad take but:

LSU has a losing record to UGA since WW2
UGA and LSU are 7-7 since 1990
Didn’t play in the 60’s through most of the 70’s when UGA was much better.
Did play late 80’s, didn’t play early 80’s
Since 2000 they are 6-4 against UGA and that includes 2 games against GA in 2003, playing in 2011, 2018 & 2019 but not playing in 2002, 2017, & 2021….or 2012 or 2020. When they did play outside of those years:
2004-Loss, 2005-Loss, 2008-Loss, 2009-Win, 2013 Loss.

This is reflected in UGA having more wins and more SECC over 80+ years of the SEC. LSU deserves the CFP imo if they win out, but a little perspective here.

Interesting that Uga always plays the elite lsu teams, but lsu usually avoids the elite uga teams.

A little perspective here:

UGA has 13 SEC Championships, LSU 12
UGA has 368 SEC wins, LSU 345 (UGA has 6.67% more than LSU)

Hardly convincing numbers. In point of fact, should LSU defeat Georgia in the SECCG this year, we will have the same quantity of SEC Championships.

Perhaps if those teams would have played LSU in those seasons, they would no longer be considered "elite".

You’re comments are as irrelevant as your team is.

No argument Phil. My contention is the lead in a 30 games series is largely predicated on when you did and didn’t play. Claiming LSU doesn’t belong in the CFP based on 1 loss mid season is a bad take as is examining 2018 & 2019 when playing and not 2020, 2021 not playing when LSU was objectively bad.

I'd say that no team that loses to Applachian should be allowed to remain in the SEC.....

A rational discussion. How refreshing. :)

Both are very good programs. LSU's best years are more concentrated to recent history, and to be sure, we have had some good fortune in our best years.

I look forward to a great SEC Championship game.

Still living in the past I see. Smart talk coming from a team that hasn’t even been average for a couple of years
