1. 3 year probation. We will appeal
2. $43,900 fine (saban has that in his wallet)
3. Vacate wins back to 2005, We will appeal.
4. No sancations.(very big deal)
5. No scholarship losses in any sports.

I feel like I should probably repeat myself: vacating wins is not the same as forfeiting them. We still lost to Alabama in 2007. Alabama just didn't win.

So Nick Saban's record at Bama now is 12-14?

Vacate means Bama loses credit for the win, but that's it. Opponents' records are unchanged, they keep the loss.

No lost Scholarships. I'll take it. 2007 was a shitty year anyways except for the TN game which those players didn't play in. Hope we can appeal and get the probation down to 1 or 2 years.

No, even if you were to get credit for the win, you'd be 1 game back I believe.

So basically this was all to do bout nothing.

Do any AU fans or I guess just sec fans think this is Fair?

Also was this within the 5 year period?Something tells me no or there would've been loss of schollys and a sanction or 2.

I am numb to the subject, but I don't want to hear about buying players and I seriously doubt bama or satan has to do this

I'll accept this, but what I want to know is why we have to vacate all 2007 regular season wins. None of the accussed players played in the Tennessee game.

Maybe they're trying to go soft on purpose so no one brings up USCw.

nothing has been said yet officially! for real people... this is all internet mumbo-jumbo.

and as far as what your quote says about you... you DO realize that this makes you look like the only thing that you think that can REALLY help your team's future against your rival is if the zebras intercede and impede our progress?

*edit* it's kinda like hoping that your team only wins because a ref throws a flag

It happened under the repeat offender rule so that was the big scare that the NCAA would hit them with LOIC due to the size of this.

Saban is known to push the envelope in recruiting and has crossed it at times, it has gotten rules named after him the most well known is the bump rule.

The 3 years probation is a point of concern, Bama has had issues in the past 20 years keeping its rabid fans from helping the program out. If they can keep them inline then it isn't much to worry about.
