Saban wasn't going to punish them no matter what the judge said/gave them. His morals is right on Bama fans levels when it come to football.

Bama fan here and I find this troubling. Seriously. But this is a failure of a Louisiana DA, not Nick Saban and not this university.
The DA makes it clear that these guys are getting privileges because they play football. If they were just two guys from the wrong side of the tracks they'd be going to prison.
It is this kind of hypocrisy that erodes public trust in the judicial system.

It's always the bama posters who aren't regulars who have the most common sense. I don't actually care about this, as I figured they'd either be let off or get a slap on the wrist. But the hypocrisy from so many bama fans who constantly judge other programs is laughable at this point. All I can do is shake my head.

He better be glad the situation isn't flipped. If it was 2 LSU players arrested in Alabama and he let them off with that lame explanation, he would be getting a call right now that his house was just burnt down and his dog was shot by a mob of Bama fans.
