Big meeting early this afternoon, with FSU president and all the admin, and they had cooked up a way to suspend him without firing him. This is according to FSU boards. That's why he went ahead and resigned. Again, this is according to FSU mods and insiders.

I've read that. I don't believe any of that shite. One of my best friends is a known FSU 247 poster, and he's just some dude. I'll believe that if FSU files suit.

Why would they sue him? If they did, it would probably go just about as well as your Chavis lawsuit went.

I don't understand that at all. Why would FSU file suit?

If you’re implying that Jimbo Fisher is a lesser option than Ed Orgeron, then I would call that denial.

Ed O owns Auburn.

wasn't he suppose to not talk to other schools?

Sounds like he obviously breached the contract?

I guess that just means he has to pay buyout?

You think he violated his contract when he negotiated with LSU last year? You think all coaches who negotiate with other schools are in breach of contract? Is that really what yall think?

FSU QB tweeted that. Going to be honest, I rode the Herman train harder than anyone, amd never wanted the Jimbo.

Funny thing. Turns out every LSU fan on the Rant today never wanted Fisher!

But this thread is a lie. Jimbo did not do that. He wanted to coach the last game and go out the right way, but FSU admin prevented him.

Man, they took his phone away too and somehow stopped him from getting another one and letting his players know. I didn't realize FSU had so much control over the communications infrastructure in this country.

Still not as bad as when Brian Kelly left Cincinnati.

I don't know what is in his contract

I thought it was mentioned here there was a clause regarding his contact with other schools - added after he used us to get a new contract

don't be obtuse

At least he left SOMETHING. Kelly told his players they'd be the first to hear if he took the Notre Dame job and then disappeared. They found out a couple of days later on Sportscenter.

Let's assume rumors are true and Fisher knew he was going to a&m after the first game of the year, when Woodward reached out, post UCLA loss. If Fiaher had a performance guarantee and FSU can prove their recent tanked season was because he was essentially already gone, then the contract could have been breached.

But I mean, gut feeling is just that FSU asked him to step aside and he agreed, for obvious reasons, and then didn't talk to Francois about it.

Occam's razor.

Certainly dodged a bullet. Now we have the shrimp boat captain

We’re saved

The shrimp boat captain just went 9-3 in the sec west and honestly should have had a better record than that, and we all know it. In the meantime, jimbo fisher went 5-6 this season at fsu in the acc. Yeah, sounds like lsu fricked up signing orgeron. LSU hasnt had a 5-6 season in a very long time. Jimbo is overrated, and texas am got raped by giving him that ridiculous contract. Can't wait to kick their asses again next year.
