Please quit complaining. The NCAA was neutered by the Supreme Court. There’s nothing that can bring them back.

It’s now open season to buy anyone you want. I know that angers some schools that have coaches that were really good at buying players under the table (cough, Nick Saban, cough Kirby Smart), but the era that Texas A&M just blew wide open is only getting started. Many more schools will follow suit.

The transfer portal is way more of a game changer. 3/4 of your recruiting class might be playing for your rivals by year 3

It’s out of control. There will be rules and oversight put into place.

We’ll see how effective they are

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. A&M is doing a good job on NIL with the guys on campus, but the numbers being thrown around are completely out of touch with reality. Recruits aren't being lured with NIL deals in hand; they do see that the guy on campus are benefitting and know the same will happen for them, but that was not a huge factor in putting together a great signing class. It was simply a matter of getting a few key guys on board who turned out to be great recruiters themselves. The early commits in this class deserve most of the credit, then comes the work done by Jimbo and staff. NIL was a distant third, if that.

No doubt the Auburn area John Deere, Massey Ferguson, and manure dealerships will now be pitching their brands through barn players
