I started out in Kinesiology as a trainer.

I knew people that wanted to be trainers but ended up doing something else.
It's a shite ton of weird hours for not much money.

Maybe not, but it took me 6 years and my cumulative GPA was 2.025.

That it is. I was with football my first semester too. Went to the Humanitarian Bowl and saw the Smurf Turf up close and personal. A typical day was 7:00-12:00 classes, there an hour before practice and a an hour after, then as a freshman an hour of study hall required 5 days a week. That didn't include gameday which was easily 8:00 am to 5-6:00 pm for a noon start. And Sundays for post-game check-ins. And that's if you were at home and not traveling.
I was pretty much over it when I got into the spring and was with women's tennis. Their shitty arse coach had 5:00 am practices AND afternoon practices.

I enjoyed it. Probably would've enjoyed it even more if I had the time outside of training to really concentrate on it. I almost stuck with it, but then got the sociology itch after working in a youth shelter the summer after I stopped training.

So happy that my FR year half my classes were right across the street, except for MF Calculus all the way in Lockett

3.4 in Philosophy and History.
I would have spent 8 or 9 years in undergrad if it were possible though.

I was ready to leave. This past summer I was itching to get out of Lexington so bad. I was over it. Now I'm at home in Louisville and it's so fricking boring. All my friends that live here stayed home and went to Louisville or played baseball or something at smaller schools and they don't do shite on the weekends. I'm used to going out Thursday through Saturday.

Which is sad, because there are some good places to get into here in Louisville on the weekends.
I've mellowed in my older age though.
