I think they were about to kiss and then noticed us being grossed out.

Sagan is smarter than your average bear. B10 and Pac10 should take notes.

The death rate now is lower than the flu. Just let the young athletes go and if they get it, they get it.

This a personal injury attorney's dream scenario. Sure, the risk of death or serious medical complications might br lower, but it only takes one and the SEC has deep pockets.

How long before the SEC changes their contact tracing guidelines?

The conference doesn't have set contact tracing guidelines.

Each institution sets their own policy.

That's what makes this whole LSU situation so hilarious. In September, Orgeron said their whole team had already contracted the virus. Now they're quarantining half the team.

I can't believe how uninformed yall are on this. The SEC follows the CDC guidelines on covid. High risk close contact is considered 15 minutes around an infected person within 6 feet where neither person was wearing a mask. After 90 days of being infected a player is treated like they haven't yet been infected. It's been this way since before the season started and was discussed at length all over the place.

The whole point of having a conference only schedule was to have a schedule where all teams were abiding by the same guidelines. This didn't just start this week. The idea that one school is playing by a different set of rules is laughable.

The whole thng is about CYA. The fact is we could have probably played the season normally as we have every year, not tested anyone, played every game as scheduled and had numerous cases, with not one hospitalization or death and no interuptions, but the risk of that one remote possibility was too much to ignore.

high schools are shutting down entire teams for that extra week

Based on what I've heard, high schools in general may be getting ready to shut back down, unfortunately.

Yeah the whole thing is overkill. But, those were the rules everyone agreed to before the season started. As I said in the thread yesterday, I think that the LSU players that went to this party should be suspended. I said the rest of the season and maybe that was harsh. But, they knew what they agreed to and had the chance to opt out. Now they've possibly taken a game away from nearly 200 other players which is bullshite.

Honestly if more public figures just came out and said we think these regulations are stupid, the media can stop pretending they’ve got a gauge on and ultimately control over popular sentiment.

He ain't a Democrat even though he's supported the only reasonable Democrat left in the
party (Joe Manchin)

I can promise you he didn't support or vote for Harris to become POTUS.

BTW,he's exactly right about his Covid take.

I'm a Republican, and if I was an Alabamian, I'd a helluva lot rather have Saban in the Senate than Tuberville.
