Saban is probably quietly laughing about this. After all they did vandalize his house after the iron bowl. I think Mr. Updyke was pissed off for the past 28 years and it took just few more things to set him off. The poisoning of the Toomer's trees was obviously something he needed to do before he checked out in life. The guy showed the patience of an Arab to wait 28 years to get even.
