Yeah he left UF in bad shape, no worse than how Muschamo left it. Doesn't mean he's not a hell of a coach.

Muschamp left it in better condition than Meyer did. Also, Muschamp might still be head coach of Meyer didn't leave him such a shite show.

With a roster stacked with 5*'s 3 deep. Does that mean that Urban Meyer can't win without talent either?

No. It means that your argument shows that you are jealous that this team beat yours. Your original point doesn;t hold water.

We had a hail mary at the end of the game to tie it up. We led 21-6 at one point.

I seriously wonder how some people on here even comprehend how to use the internet without injuring themselves.

You lost to their 3rd string QB, bitch. Quit whining.

Meyer is a great coach but he walked into a perfect situation in Columbus. He basically got to start on third base.

Exactly. Jim Tressel left him a gold mine of talent. The last time Urban Meyer had to build anything was at Utah. He walked into Gainesville with a talented roster and walked into Columbus with a loaded roster.

No...it shows that both coaches rely on blue chip talent to win football games.

Urban's blue chip talent was just 7 points better than ours this year. Congrats to him and Ohio State.

That 3rd string QB also drubbed Wisconsin and steam rolled Oregon in the national championship, but it sure is one hell of talking point when y'all are trying come up some coherent form of shite talking.

The OSU dick riding in this thread is just sad. The LSU program and its fans have really fallen off the map.

247 sports average recruitment ranking for 2011-2014

Urban Meyer basically walked into Talent twice. The Rival rankings before 2011, had Ohio St with elite recruiting classes. He really isn't any better than Nick Saban.

Yeah, Meyer walked into an absolutely great situation. He didn't have to build like Saban did at LSU or Bama.

Credit to Meyer for keeping the train rolling but the one thing Meyer hasn't done that Saban has is shown that he can sustain that success. Not doubting that he can but people forget just how awful a situation he left Florida in. The "best coach" doesn't do something like that.

And you lost to OSU's 3rd stringer with a coach that costs almost $3M more--not counting what you pay the boys on the roster.

Sad day for your shitty state.

Saban's has 2 flaws that Meyer doesn't have… defending the spread and a lack of dynamic QB play. That said Urban must have extremely physically talented qb's and Saban does not, each has their own system and both thrive at what they do, although Meyer will only be at Ohio State for about 3 more years and Saban will coach Bama til he retires.

Why are LSU fans so intent on embarrassing themselves? I don't think even Auburn owns as much space in Alabama's heads as Alabama does in LSU's.

for that one particular game (bama/OSU), if both teams' coaches were on the opposite sidelines, bama would've won going away....
