18 plays a season!!!!

On average that translates to another td for many SEC teams. Remember, it only takes a second to make a difference.

Good thing that win was able to sway instate recruits. Winning in your own backyard is very important.

Don't be mad cause I called out your boy.

Only one team in the last 7 seasons has broken the 90 plays a game mark.

Marshall did it in 2012 by 8 plays.

Don't inflate your numbers to try and prove a point. It makes you look like a jackass who cannot support your cause without lying.
Also, looking at all teams (NFL & college) and all games played.

2013 average offensive snaps per game (per team)
NFL - 65.0
NCAA - 71.8

I don't know why some feel the need to repeat the ole "NFL 60 & 90 for college" line every time this conversation arises.

I think it's a generally accepted opinion that Saban would get what he wanted. I also think it's even wider accepted that it's overwhelming opposed by both fans & coaches alike. So, let's agree that while Saban likely wins the battle he most assuredly did NOT win the debate.

I agree he did not get ALL he wanted. But in effect he will.

He's not getting anything he wanted. At all. In any sense of the phrase. Deal with it.

This might be the most pathetic example of inventing a moral victory I've ever seen.

I assume you are an LSU fan with that spelling of Tiger.

I understand your frustration I really do.

Just think,as good as LSU has been recently, what could have been if Saban never comes to Alabama.

PAX LSU. WHO would have stopped you? Les Miles might have 3 or maybe 4 Crystal Footballs and LSU would probably have been called the greatest dynasty of the modern era.

But Saban DID come. And LSU has lost three in a row plus at least one BCS title.

So I do get it. Problem is it isn't going to change any time soon. So YOU will just have to deal with it.

One...the officials are going to take control. They will not rush to hurry up and set the ball for play anymore. What is going to happen is they will control the pace of play and not allow the snap until all the zebras are in position and ready.

Teams will have to slow down their hurry up offense at the end of the game because we aren't going to adjust for that anymore. The pace at the end of the game will be the same as the pace at the beginning of the game.

Fans will love that....

I'm good, my DC can actually stop a HUNH. You seem terrified and desperate for anything to hang your hat on. Carry on.
