I made the mistake of using an example that is too subtle for some people to understand, and they are taking the wrong emphasis.

I expected foolishly that people here would have more sense than they do. Again, they are being far too literal, and in doing so, they are missing my point.

I am not saying steroids is the same as thuggery. This is not the point.

Sorry I confused the Aubbies.

Ok den. Great example and very specific. Now all you need to do is fabricate a bunch of examples to stand behind. I am sure you are smarter than NFL GM's who will likely make Fairley a top 3 pick.

Anyway, can I use this as my first ever sig quote, just so when I post everyone can see how stupid you are?

Memphis - "Nick Fairley's "dirty play" gives him a tremendous competitive advantage, akin to Sammy Sosa using massive amounts of steriods".

You didn't confuse anyone. I will attribute my sig quote to you if you want to look stupid. Or I can give credit to both if you like.

Bottom line, your analogy is aweful and you made yourself look dumb by being determined to defend it.

I'm not really worried about it. We can just agree to think the other person is stupid here. I hope you have a good night.

You are missing the point. Cheating is cheating.

It doesn't matter what measures you took, you gained an unfair advantage when you went that route.

BTW TIM did you know that Character is a big part of the NFL evaluation?

Fairley has been cheating for a while now though. for evidence you can google about the 7 tests he cheated on in HS and had to go the JUCO route as a result.

OMG look at me trying to convince an AU fan about cheating. That's like convincing a .....Oops!! I don't want to confuse you with another analogy!!

Let's be honest here, if the redskins are willing to pay 34592million for albert haynesworth, you think fairley's thuggery is that big of a deal? Its a bigger deal in college. If he produces in the nfl (which I doubt), no one will care. He'll pay his fines and keep rolling.
