I can't honestly think of anybody better than him. He's better than cody, dorsey, and everybody else in recent memory. many on here will disagree (especially cause they don't like him/auburn).....but that dude is a beast. him and suh are in a class alone

i think mount fatass was just as impressive. He regularly ate up two blockers and their lunches.

Anyone can punch someone out when they use brass knuckles.

Start a thread on Eric Smith too.

Please don't compare him to Suh. That's ridiculous.

Unlike Smith, Fairley has an NFL future and I think somewhere deep inside his thick skull there is some hope for him.

Eric Smith is just an idiotic thug that I'm willing to bet never gets his life in order, and I'd love for him to be kicked off the team.

I think it'll be wasted. He received so much support for his actions this year from most of your base for the way he played, he doesn't even think he's played dirty. Not a flame, just the way he comes across.

Ross, are you the first to mention "thug" in this thread?

he is not even in the same class as Suh and Fairley has no class at all

Thug is too kind of a word for his style of play- he is Mike Tyson with a football helment

hate to break it to ya, but those are the 2 most dominant DTs I've ever seen. I know this thread is about SEC DTs, but Fairley is waayy better than cody and company, and suh is the only guy who compares, IMO

If he gets a hardass for an NFL coach, he'll be the next Haynesworth or a beast. It'll be his choice.

I have no problem with calling Fairley a great DT. He is. However, I will certainly not feel particularly bad if he ends up with a short career.
