The most picturesque campus I saw outside of Ole Miss' was Arkansas' campus. I went to a game back in 2006, during the fall. That was beautiful country up that way.
I wish we could tailgate on Old Main lawn like y'all have at the grove. It would be a fantastic setting with buildings from the 1800's.

Yeah, that was a cool place. That would be an awesome spot for tailgating.

How has no one ever pointed out that this is a painting.
I have been at LSU for 6 years and have never seen anything that looks like that.

Alabama is the best by a wide margin.

Lol, from the comments in the first thread, it was LSU that was number one in most people's minds.
Main/Central Campus of your school
But you keep dreaming.
The truth is, pretty much all of the SEc campuses are beautiful, with one or two exceptions.
I myself find LSU the best because of the trees, which are valued at over $50 million dollars, the lakes, the Mississippi River, and the unique architecture.

And here's a good video of the squirrels in the Enchanted Forest. Gives a good view of the new landscaping:

My favorites that I've visited, excluding Alabama since I'm biased. In no particular order after LSU.
1. LSU - love the Spanish influenced architecture and Spanish Moss in the trees.
2. Arkansas - Thought it'd be bigger(that's what she said), but it was beautiful up them mountains.
3. UGA - The buildings were nice, but it kinda seemed disjointed. Walked it one morning and was glad I didn't go to school there. Very hilly.
4. Florida - I'm a sucker for Spanish Moss. Huge campus.
5. Vandy - Love the traditional college campus look right next to downtown.
I have not visited South Carolina or Kentucky.

I was in Tuscaloosa last night, and I was struck once again by how beautiful the campus is. Its been a while since I've been there on a nice spring evening, and with the improvements made in the last decade, its really a stunner.

I've been only to Alabama, LSU, Miss.St, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt and I, trying not to be biased, select Ole Miss.
When deciding, I violate the limits of your thread and consider the surrounding town and landscape.
All opinion and taste mind you:
Alabama's campus seemed nice enough but the city and surrounding landscape were flat and decrepit.
LSU had a few dainty oak trees but is largely urban, being in the capital city. The football stadium was plain. The baseball stadium felt rich to me but quickly lost it's appeal. Maybe it was the cow pasture across from it, I'm not sure. The landscape is flat and Baton Rouge is largely corporate and completely unimaginative. The football team could arguably claim being the program of the last decade but the experience, in a word, is 'overrated.'
Miss.St is trying. I was there 10 years ago and it was a poorly designed town, unable to handle the swelling population growth, but since then, they've really tried. Though the landscape is like a blank sheet of paper, the school's officials have concentrated on improving the appeal of the facilities and it shows. The new student union immediately impressed me. The Swalm building is the jewel of the campus and is also a fine establishment. I'll even grudgingly admit it is nicer than the Pharmacy building at Ole Miss. And Starkville has Restaurant Tyler, which I plan on visiting soon. Now if the Bulldogs will PLEASE change the uniforms back to the late 90s version....
Ole Miss is truly where it is. The most gorgeous women in the SEC. Rolling hills with pretty trees. Oxford is the perfect size town and the Square has everything I like. A renowned bookstore with talented writers visiting, a great music scene (Sister Hazel is visiting in a few days) and superb restaurants. Originality and beauty. If I ever get rich, I plan on having a place there. I don't think I'd ever get bored with it. It's just great.
Vanderbilt. Purely urban. The stadium was the worst I ever visited. It's a shame Nashville isn't a little further east or it would win my landscaping vote. Downtown Nashville is of course fun but would quickly get tiresome and it's too damn cold.

You speak the truth, I do believe that MS State, in another decade, will be one of the nicer campuses in the SEC. There is so much potential.

Dude, high five. This is how it's done.
Let me reply in kind. Since everyone should know by now I rock the P&G sunglasses 24/7/365...
...I'm going to exclude LSU, although I'd like to say I completely agree about loving the Northern Italian-influenced architecture (FIFY
1. Ole Miss - The campus is very attractive, and Oxford is very picturesque. Nice combination. Things that need to be improved are the Sad Pad...and by 'improved' I mean 'wrecking ball'...and getting rid of the window air conditioners in some of the older buildings.
instead of
I gave Ole Miss the nod over Alabama because it's a bigger campus in a nicer looking town, and I like the layout better. Just my two cents.
2. Alabama - Very nice campus and the future looks bright for it to become even nicer, given that it just expanded. I believe IIRC UA is up to around 1100 acres now, good for fourth-biggest campus in the conference.
3. UGA - Nice campus, with some nice hills but definitely a big drop down from LSU, Ole Miss, and Alabama. Part of that is how much smaller UGA is than those three campuses, at only 615 acres. Athens is an awesome college town, probably the best in the SEC.
4. Arkansas - If you thought UGA was small, think again. Arky's campus is about half the size, and even hillier than UGA. You will definitely get a workout walking the Arkansas campus. Great view of NWA from campus, I'd probably say the best view from any campus in the SEC IMO.
5. Vanderbilt - Another small campus, tucked into the biggest city in the SEC. The old part of Vanderbilt is designated as a national arboretum, and has one of every tree found in the state of Tennessee. Very attractive buildings in that part of the campus.
That's my top five, other than LSU. The truth is, with a couple of possible exceptions there are some fantastic campuses in this conference, and I hope everyone gets a chance to travel and see them all.

I've been on every campus in the SEC. My fav is UGA, but I couldnt imagine trying to park/commute there. Vandy probably has the best surrounding city, if you're not a country-phobe. I think LSU is much nicer than UA. Honestly though, there isn't a dog in the SEC.
